Could someone make some entry's for Opera, which include Website Icons(the built-in one doesn't work), VPS, and thumbnails. The files are located here:

Opera.png

I have them listed in my include list in the options section, but it would be nice to delete them when i want, not everytime i run ccleaner.

FileKey2=%appdata%\Opera\Opera\thumbnails|*.*|

I haven't got Opera installed, so I can't confirm if it works.

Tested it and it didn't work. Shouldn't the words local setting be in there for it to work?

Probably, as I said - it was just me quickly typing something up while checking my email/

If you want it to delete everything in the folder, and all the subfolders, use |*.*|REMOVESELF

If you just want it to remove the contents of the subdirs, use |*.*|RECURSE

Thanks a million, they both work perfectly!! :)

Here they are to be added to the next winapp2.ini version. I added one for temporary_downloads.

Winapp2.ini - Didn't CCleaner used to recognise if a user has Microsoft Silverlight installed? (well, I say if, more like who hasn't the way MS force feed it via windows update)

Just tried the current version of CCleaner with your most up to date ini and nothing seems to come up on any lists.

Anyway, if not, I believe the following could be added

[silverlight]
LangSecRef=3022
Detect=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Silverlight
Default=True
FileKey1=%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Microsoft\Silverlight|*.*|RECURSE

For cleaning out MS LSOs (Local Shared Objects), similar to Adobe's

Silverlight is now detected by CCleaner without Winapp2 (as of the latest version)

[Microsoft Silverlight]
ID=2169
LangSecRef=3023
DetectFile=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Silverlight\is
DetectFile2=%LocalLowAppData%\Microsoft\Silverlight\is

FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Silverlight\is|*.*|RECURSE
FileKey2=%LocalLowAppData%\Microsoft\Silverlight\is|*.*|RECURSE
ExcludeKey1=FILE|%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Silverlight\is\*\|disabled.dat
ExcludeKey2=FILE|%LocalLowAppData%\Microsoft\Silverlight\is\*\|disabled.dat

the issue I see here with what you posted was you didn't have the excludekey thus deleted the entire is directory thus when you updated winapp2 and ccleaner it no longer saw anything

ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION

DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF.

Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark)

ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.

Aah, I see my bad, thank you.

Edit: Erm, just checked, Version 3.02.1343 CCleaner, downloaded a fresh version of the latest winapp2.ini linked in the OP (without any meddling by myself) - CCleaner is not listing Microsoft Silverlight for cleanout anywhere :unsure:

OS = Win 7 x 32

I see that uTorrent is added. Is there a way to clean old .torrent files in the "..\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent" as well? I don't know if there is a way to check if uTorrent is using or not, that's the only issue.

Hahahah! I lost about 15 torrents trying to do this. I really don't recommend anyone follow in my failed footsteps. The only way I can think to do this is with some sort of VBScript, then call it from CCleaner. See psuedo code*:

Imports DotNetUtils
Dim u As New VBUtils

If u.ProcessRunning(uTorrent.exe) = True Then '//Check if uTorrent is running. This is so it prevents deletion of torrents in use.
For Each torrent As String In System.Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.ApplicationData) & \Roaming\uTorrent, *.*
If System.IO.Path.GetExtension(torrent) = ".torrent" Then '//Make sure the file extension is .torrent
If u.FileInUse(torrent) = False Then '//Check whether uTorrent is using the file.
Try
My.Computer.FileSystem.DeleteFile(torrent)
Catch ex As Exception
MessageBox.Show("Could not delete file.)
End If
Next
End If

*Well, .NET code actually - I've never actually had the need to write VBScript before. Anyone wanting to try the above code will need the DotNetUtils DLL.

I'm Shane.

I also tried this a while ago, while running ?Torrent, however I only use analyze when testing new entries, and that was enough for me to see it doesn't work. I wonder why ?Torrent doesn't lock its "in use" torrent files.
