  1. Here they are. Opera: Firefox:
  2. There is a personal bar you can add, but you can't reposition the toolbars and I absolutely hate it! I did put the tabs on the bottom by moving the address bar contents to the main bar. You can also move the bookmarks you can add to your personal bar to the main bar. I can provide a screenshot if need be.
  3. I tried it, but I can't stand not being able to place the toolbars where I want. Seems to have fits with cookies too. IE: not remembering your logins and such. It has several site displays really screwed up too, which is a shame. :\ I definitely miss right clicking on my bookmarks and being able to have them on a special toolbar that is aligned with the menu bar.
  4. Ah, so that's what it was. Though it's not the phrase, it's something about the number of characters input. Cause it works with "Bush hid the facts" too.
  5. I still have WGA installed. Thing is we're talking about two totally different things! Notice that the original post is about Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications. Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications notifies you if a copy of Microsoft Windows XP is not genuine. The notification messages only appear on computers that have failed the Windows Genuine Advantage validation process and that are running a copy of Windows XP that is not genuine. If you are running a validated, genuine copy of Windows XP, you will not receive notification messages. About WGA WGA is installed as a BHO in IE (and if you download it for Firefox as a plugin). It then checks with Microsoft when you go to update from their website to see if your Windows is valid. The WGA Notifications is a downloadable application that will be installed and, since it is a pre-release it is still in testing. What it does is send a few bytes to Microsoft daily to see if your Windows is valid or not. They are currently in the process of recoding it since it is not final to check once every two weeks. lokoike -> No, it's a High Priority update but it is not required. I hid the update for WGA Notifications way back when I saw it was beta and I am still able to download Windows Updates. After all, you only need WGA, not their WGA Notifications. My Windows is genuine and running WGA which is all I need to get updates. No workarounds or anything like that. I'm legit. For those who are wondering, you can read more about Windows Genuine Advantage Notifications. In addition, if you read about WGA Notifications it will tell you how to uninstall/temporarily disable WGA Notifications.
  6. It's because it saves as ascii and not unicode.
  7. I never downloaded it, and told my updates to hide it. One thing is for sure. It shows how many people are totally stupid and blindly download these things. It is marked as High-Priority, but you don't have to download it once. It's even a pre-release software. They're changing the call-home on it though to once every two weeks instead of daily. But yeah, it is their business if you own and use a pirated version, it's illegal.
  8. Everything has flaws, only reason so many think Windows is so insecure is because it's the most used. Common sense people.
  9. It'd be nice, but I don't see it happening anytime soon, unfortunately.
  10. Lock, trash, delete and ban.* gg. RonTheCon? Sounds like Con is short for Con-Artist. Hell, even my forums are welcome to all, but if I catch you on my site posting this garbage and total s**t; you'll be banned in a heartbeat Con. Nice "work" telling people to basically disable their computers. Too many wannabe techs and you're one of them. Buy some half assed "tweak" program and think you know all about computers. Grow up kid. *In other words, reported this trash thread till it gets removed.

  12. Why do people like those things? They litter so many forums everywhere.
  13. There's a file in the root dir you need to check to see where it directs TEMP. I believe it was autoexec.bat or one of the batch files.
  14. And you continue to troll... ...why? Users are free to express their opinions and give feedback about the software. It is after all encouraged. Sorry if you cannot handle it or don't like it, but it's something you'll just have to deal with.
  15. I don't like it because of all the false positives. Many sites which at one time were blacklisted and are now safe get flagged.
  16. Download the ATI drivers 5.12 with Control Panel, then just download the Dial-up display drivers only. Install over the old graphic drivers and keep the CP.

  18. It deletes a lot of cookies. It deleted the cookie for an online game auction site I go to.
  19. AVG fails to remove viruses constantly. ;P
  20. Yeah, I wouldn't touch Microsoft's HTML/webpage creators as the pages will only work for IE. A member at Lunarsoft.net mentioned Evrsoft 1st Page 2006. Though it is a trial, it's a lot like Dreamweaver. http://www.evrsoft.com/1stpage3.shtml
  21. Agreed. All of the products he has stopped using are ones I use frequently.
  22. ASAP does not mean that a user is a certified pc technician. ASAP is an online certification. That truly does not mean much. Reference... I would put more trust into actual technicians who have their A+ certification. As far as I know, only DjLizard and myself have this certification.
  23. [VNCViewer 3]LangSecRef=3024Default=TrueDetect=HKCU\Software\ORL\VNCviewerRegKey1=HKCU\Software\ORL\VNCviewer\MRU Should be: [ultraVNC]LangSecRef=3024Default=TrueDetect=HKCU\Software\ORL\VNCviewerRegKey1=HKCU\Software\ORL\VNCviewer\MRU
