    avg buys ewido

AVG is not that great; so this may hinder, even cripple ewido.

    foobar

Have you tried XMPlay? It takes up next to no resources at all. Lightweight, portable, and just awesome.

    New Firetune

I got it from BetaNews as the non-install version. 1.1.1 version.
  4. Let's stop deleting posts without any notification, shall we?
  5. If Firefox is set to the default web browser and popups appear with IE, you may very well have the bad spyware.
  6. Probably spyware on that machine.
  7. I've made InnoSetup installs before, and it's not hard at all to make other versions of an installer. It takes minutes, not days.
  8. Where's the 1.28 version with no toolbar of the Basic and Slim versions? Why the huge delay?
  9. I think someone will have to repack this and send it out without the toolbar if Slim and Basic builds cease, as they already have with this release as of this post. That's uncalled for and very poor customer relations, considering this is now a "business" called "Piriform".
  10. The problem is that it is written in Visual Basic, so it has file dependencies. MSVBVM60.dll and all of the *.ocx files. Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% for your suggestion. The application would have to be re-written in Delphi; but that shouldn't be a problem. Delphi is a much better, faster, stronger programming language than Visual Basic.
  11. They did have a few issues with bluescreens a while back that was related to a problem witha *.dll from WinRAR. They fixed it though. They pay close attention to bug reports and fix them quickly. You may want to do a clean install of the firewall by removing anything Agnitum from your registry. Okay I'm busted! It's been more than 3, I lost count. ;D
  12. I believe this topic is very much out of line and uncalled for. Krit is an asset to the community who gives genuine help and has a good overall knowledge of computer related materials. And if she goes off topic as she provides help, I've always seen it as helping people feel at ease and relax, by adding a personal spin on things. It makes things not feel so strict and will help users who need help realize the issue isn't something to get too worked up about. Keep up the great work Krit.
  13. It is now tainted though. Before it was no adware, no spyware, etc. With the toolbar included that should be removed from the front page.
  14. Because it bloats once good software and has tainted it.
  15. Hopefully a beta with no toolbar. Toolbar =
  16. I have the several UXTheme.dll patch utilities. So far all have worked for me. Also, the themes you install go in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\

    Byte error?

No bug, look at your IE temp files. (230.9MB).
  18. Uncheck a lot of options if it loads, you may be trying to clean too much.
  19. It will alert you to EVERYTHING that tries to access the Internet. The lists are very easy to configure and their forums have rules with presets as well. You can Allow Once, Block Once, Or.. well. Here, I'll PM you a screenshot of Ventrilo trying to connect to my server.
  20. You're now the third one I know whom has converted.
  21. Even with updates off on ZAP, it keeps checking.
  22. Indeed. Having preset settings already made for users is very helpful. When I tested ZAP recently, it misconfigured a lot of items and was eating bandwidth by checking for an update every 2 seconds.
  23. Thing is there is nothing to figure out, it's a very easy-to-use application.
