  1. I use Xmarks, which used to be Foxmarks.Xmarks main site. Very handy to sync multiple computers with the same bookmarks. AJ
  2. If you can't differentiate between a CPU, a motherboard, and RAM, then I would suggest buying a new one then building your own. You have to know the components and be comfortable handling them if you want to build your own. That being said, building computers has become a lot easier in the past few years, but it sounds like sticking with buying from a vendor is your best bet. Wait until October and buy one with 7 - I have Vista and my only complaint is the high memory usage. I have 7 installed on my newly built machine and I love it. AJ

  4. For a while, there were a lot of motherboards that did not like 1 GB sticks. I think you realized that by now. Here's a great guide for 32 bit, 64 bit, video cards, etc when it comes to memory. MaximumPC Memory Guide from the forums. AJ
  5. It's DDR. That's why. It's oddly enough gotten more expensive. DDR2 is crazy cheap. DDR3 has slowly been coming down in price. AJ
  6. I think that we need a colony there as a jumping off point to move to Mars. AJ

Same here. Bill, I've been here a while and never have gotten a message like that. Wait for a moderator to see what we can do about it. AJ
  8. Same one as last month. AJ
  9. Both XP and Vista's support end sometime in 2014 I believe. I could be off, but I've read/heard that some where. AJ
  10. My friend texted me about it. I did not believe him at first, until I looked it up online. AJ
  11. From this part of the site. Didn't the Mayans die off? You know, they could have just, I don't know, stopped working on it . None of them around, so who knows . AJ
  12. It was so weird. I heard it on my way home from camp training. I turn on The Rock 106.9 WCCC(Corona you know it ) and they say people are reporting it. Then they play the Smooth Criminal version done by Alien Ant Farm. And now the two top forty radio statoins (KISS 95.7 and KC101 101.3) have been playing Michael Jackson hits. AJ
  13. Phen0m is right, but don't download a whole O/S ISO. Use this -> MemTest. It's dedicated and it will stress your memory to see if any errors occur. AJ
  14. Beat you Icedrake - http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showto...st&p=136615 AJ
  15. Never had that problem ever. Also, I've never heard of this happening to anyone else on the forums. Give it a little while, cause these forums and the program are developed freely, so the response won't be as quick as you might expect. AJ
  16. Actually, Xmarks was Foxmarks first, and it is the bookmark addon that I use. When it switched over to Xmarks, it added the little button in the URL bar to find similar sites. In a way, it reminds me of StumbleUpon, which I don't use because of it adding to the Firefox toolbar . AJ
  17. Usually, I don't swear on the forums, but that's total bull$#!7. IE 8 is terrible. I'm lucky, cause I installed it just to be up to date on my Vista system, and I didn't slow down. However, I'm worried about installing it on my family computer. AJ
  18. Three things come to mind right off the bat. One, your hard drive is dying. Two, your powersupply is failing, and is giving dirty energy. Three, one of your sticks of RAM is bad. AJ
  19. http://www.nliteos.com/index.html It allows you to make slipstream disk and install up to XP SP3 on discs so you can be updated from the get go. AJ
  20. And for those of you who need a general uninstaller... Revo Uninstaller is a great program to have. AJ
  21. Use the insert link button. Click that first. Copy the URL into it. Hit Okay. Next step allows you to put in a title so Google.com is actually this Google.com If you copy a link to the response box, and then highlight it and click the url/link button, it will do this http://www.google.com/ which looks like this http://www.google.com/ AJ
  22. I did it. I must win. A Core i7 system in the works...needs an awesome operating system to match it. AJ
