  1. Same here. I have always peeled them using the wrong difficult way.
  2. the normal defrag also consolidates free space. Thus, it's a slower process. You have also options to manually defrag freespace. Right click on a drive -> Advanced
  3. I didn't know either. Anyway Piriform is a company you can trust. @OP: What web browser do you use? Try using Adblockplus with it. You will notice a world of difference.
  4. Done. Just in case. Kudos to tweaking.com for finding that.
  5. This is one bulls**t. I have tiles disabled though.
  6. This is awesome. And yes too much free time,
  7. No. It's not. It has been improved though. It is still generating some fragmentation on some partitions for me. But yes, it's WAY BETTER than before.
  8. PNG is better for screenshots than JPEG. The file will be even smaller just because JPEG lossy compression is meant for photographs only. As for the OP suggestion, yes, I think Defraggler could inform about how many bytes and/or sectors per map block.
  9. Try checking MS VC++ Runtimes installed. Check Windows Update too to see if there is some update to them.
  10. Limit IE cache size to 50 MB (I think it's the minimum) (Control Panel -> Internet Options). I have seen systems with a 3GB of allocated disk cache.
  11. I don't have a "system reserved partition". I prefer to have the system on an unique primary active partition.
  12. By the way... . This part of the article is WRONG. Win7 has got bootmgr and grldr both at the root folder. And I think Vista has got the same.
  13. That's why I keep a strict rule on text ads while using AdBlockPlus.
  14. For me free space defrag is bugged. It doesn't work as it should. It tends to create further fragmentation. This is one of a list of long standing bugs that I would like to see fixed. A "quick fill gaps" feature would be real handy. Also, the annoying "access floppy drive" whenever you click on a drive is another long standing bug.
  15. I am glad to hear everything went ok. Great job and stay safe.
  16. Ok. I got it. How do you reach that link without specifyng x86/x64? When using search or clicking quick updates I get either x86 or x64 versions links (but not version choose)
  17. I have found a small "issue". When clicking on any software that comes with both x86 and x64 versions there is no quick link to download the other opposite one as before. Not a big deal, but annoying nonetheless. For instance, clicking on Itunes x86 version you got a "64 bits version" below with the old layout. Now you have to look for it yourself.
