  1. There must be some leftover entries in Windows Registry. Try deleting those but proceed with caution and make a backup copy of registry first (either creating a System Restore Point or using some app. like eruNT). Additionally Mozilla applications store user data under USERS\your account name\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla folder (Vista and Seven). Try looking tor these too.
  2. Mine has the usual icon. You mean defraggler.exe right? I am using the x86 flavour.
  3. I think AVAST is quite okay if you can live with that. For a free antivirus program, that is.
  4. I was an Opera user a long time ago. Nowadays I prefer Firefox. But I hope it's not going to happen.
  5. I have read in another post that this will be fixed in some June build.
  6. I think someone else has already mentioned this issue. (as a bug report, I think).
  7. It doesn't seem to be a big issue to me.
  8. I was tinkiering with a PC with AVAST installed yesterday and It showed some annoying ads. I prefer "more silent" antivir programs.
  9. Thank you very much.
  10. Impressive work. Thanks.
  11. Do you mean filling gaps? If so, the full (regular) defrag will try to do that but it can be a very time consuming operation.
  12. I think you cannot do it and probably isn't even needed. Most data partitions can be defragged normally and fully as they are provided there are no programs/processes accessing any of their files.
  13. 1. Some applications are not polite enough to provide publisher information and such. The same happens for "Add & Remove programs". I think it's not a bug.
  14. Probably some files used by System Restore. Are you able to pinpoint them? Analyze your drive and click on a red square to see what file belongs to.
  15. My Operating System partition (30GB NTFS Win7 x86) takes about 2 minutes to defragment with Windows built-in defrag program. I have System Restore disabled. I am not using hibernation either. If I use defraggler in file mode it takes even less time. I also have windows built-in defrag scheduler disabled. I defragment quite often though. Bigger partitions and data types require more time. So for starters it's a good idea to repartition your harddisk specially if it is HUGE (1 TB+). OP said he had two 80 GB partitions. The first one being the OS. You should do a little cleanup first, get rid of temporary files and other garbage. It should not take that long for defragging 80 GB, unless the partition is pretty fragmented and you plan on moving every file out there. That's because I advise you to try the selected files approach on defraggler first and disregard the System Restore Points altogether (I think they cannot be defragmented by common means either). After quicking defragging files from the file list, try doing a boot-time defrag.
  16. I have indexing (Windows Search) totally disabled just because Total Commander is my main file browser tool.
  17. Same here. Win7 x86. Other than that (the one day difference), installation dates seem okay.
  18. My Wikipedia is clean as an elven arse. Nice catch Hazelnut.
  19. I am going to give it a try. It sounds useful.
  20. One minor off-topish advice: Using JPEG for screen captures/snapshots is A VERY BAD IDEA because of its lossy compression. Use PNG instead.
  21. Don't use the full defrag then. Also, keep in mind that speaking about other defragmenters could be ill-advised. And besides, MyDefrag is pretty outdated by now. And for me, the UI is ugly too. I used it sometimes and didn't impressed me. It tended to fragment the MFT on my partitions for some odd reason. Other than that, it's still a quite good (albeit outdated) product nonetheless.
