I confirm this issue after installing 2.40. I did run the application as admin and then I re-installed defraggler running the installer as admin. The same behaviour. I guess, the next release in June will fix this bug with the defrag (pagefile.sys and other files) at boot that cannot be selected in the settings men?. thanks.

yes, this is a technical issue. "It will be fixed in the next release in June", (Piriform Mail Support). thank you. also I will stay tuned and wait June for the new Defraggler release thanks.

Hi. After upgrading to defraggler 2.10 today I have an issue. Administrative privilege required to get the defragmentation at boot (pagefile.sys...). but...I reinstalled by selecting "run the installer as administrator" + "run the application as administrator"...nothing. no issue with 2.09 (this worked without adminitrative privilege too). what to do to set the defragmentation at boot as in the past? thanks.PS:v2.10.413 (24 May 2012)- Defragmentation speed improved by up to 30%.- Optimized free space algorithms.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>- Re-architected scheduling manager.>>>>> perhaps this has to do with the issue that arised after installing 2.10 (??)and...starting from 2.10 the application doesnt tell me to clean the pc before defragment!! even if the box is checked in settings

thank you Alan_B! yes, macrium is wonderful ) ok, partition is unmounted. yes, I have deleted mrimg tto : no problems. I have the same image in external hdd's like L:\ amd M:\ (usb) in the second hdd E:\ I have macrium image of C:\ (active partition): no problems with defraggler, but the file is only 60GB. problem with the image of E:\ (saved on the same disc E:\ 170GB) also related to the defragmentation of E:\: I will defragmet only the fragmented files in E:\ (not the whole disc) leaving off the macrium image of E (whilst macrium image of C.\ has been defragmented fine. no issue. perhaps defraggler encountred problems with this very big file. ok, I agree with your explanation. thank you for your reply.

Hi. why defraggler tells me 1 minute left and this means 4 hours? or 100% defragmented and still 4 hours job? thanks

Hi. Defraggler is unable to defragment a big file. it tells "Nothing done", but the file remains still fragmented after 8 hours. the file is not in use (disc E:\) see foto please. what to do? thanks a lot best, PS: Vista32 sp2, hdd's: ST3750640AS
