  1. Hard to tell because he'd need to know which version .ini he had previously and then run a dif between the two versions, just to narrow it down in suspects (though I'll bet it's actually caused by the registry clean)
  2. You are using winapp2.ini no support can be given to your problem except in the sticky topic at the top of ccleaner discussion board especially as your issue is from. But in short the files probably recreated at boot.
  3. Unless you explicitly tell ccleaner to store settings in ini, settings are stored in the registry.
  4. You must quit ccleaner before upgrading, always been this way
  5. Moving to SP3 has fixed this in the past Edit I might be wrong though and missed the mention of a clicking drive on my first read.
  6. Why would they do that, the file here is a template and trim is a batch file made by a member. Remember they don't actually endorse using the TEMPLATE as a whole file but for finding entries you want and make your own ini. TRIM batch makes that easier, yes, but it's not an official thing.
  7. Like all child browsers Vivaldi is cleaned by the parent browser's cleaning section.I'm Unsure if plugins are included in that though.
  8. A few other members were having the same issue (also with compact databases). The current work around (as you've stated) is to uncheck compact databases. The developers have been made aware of this issue.
  9. likely a different issue. With XP it might mean your recycle bin is corrupted Follow the xp link from https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=42673&do=findComment&comment=257977
  10. No need to double post. Continue https://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=47821&do=findComment&comment=280739
  11. The professional version recovers the same as the free version.
  12. I've reported to the developers, that compact is causing crashes
  13. As this is an official forum for Recuva, alternative competition software is not mentioned here
  14. Try turning off firefox - compact databases, see if it still crashes.
  15. To the three "me too" posters please provide a debug report. Instructions are in a sticky topic at the top of the ccleaner's bug report board.
  16. Which browser are you using. Any anti script add-ons or anything like that. It might be worth it to try a different browser
  17. I have no idea if it's possible but I'm going to +1 this suggestion, I like it
  18. Please note, this is a request for helpers it's not a general bug thread, please @KG6EAR please start a new thread and (our few mac users) members may be able to help you.
  19. You could try recuva, but there's no way within ccleaner
  20. Is your FF profile in the default location, or did you customize during installation
  21. I agree with winapp2 year first looks more appropriate as a version number
  22. One year of priority support and one year of automatic updates without going to a webpage. All the extra features (multi-user, better monitoring) will remain. As for a cd, it will contain the version of ccleaner that you originally had, however with your license key the free version will know you have pro.
  23. Thank you for your report, the developers read all threads though they likely won't answer; This should get noted by them and hopefully fixed soon
