I'll don't have upgrade to SP3. Windows XP is no longer automatic update since three years ago. Shall I'll upgrade to SP3 or re-install to SP3?

I'll use WIndows XP Pro (SP2), then download a latest version and install. But problem is when it start CCleaner, I've heard click in my hard drive. When I've saw screen pops up is suddenly crash and Blue Screen of Death (or BSoD in algorithm) Question is: Why?
