If I join CCleaner must it be renewed every update/year
Nergal replied to AminalEd's topic in CCleaner Help Requests
Mta, is wrong, you DO NOT lose cleaning all users or monitoring. All you lose is priority support and auto-update. -
I'm not sure I follow what you mean, ccleaner already cleans cookies (tracking and otherwise) for all known browser families (Ie/Edge, Firefox, Opera and Chrome). Also the enhancing software which we don't mention here (renamed voldemort in your post) is very different from the pro version of ccleaner. Voldemort adds new cleaning rules while pro gives you features not seen in free (multiuser cleaning, automatic updates) and gives a year of priority support from the developers.

CCleaner freezing when clicking through settings
Nergal replied to pety98's topic in CCleaner Bug Reporting
Can you run a debug mode and attach a log of the freeze (on newer version of course). I don't know if it'll tell us anything but it's worth a look. -
Make sure the name you're putting in is the same as what you registered. Iirc it's your email address, but i'd check the message you received from piriform (the register button you pressed is the correct one).

On top of hazelnut's questions, it might help if you ran debug mode and shared us the log. When you say "scanning" do you mean analyzing? Are you running the cleaning section or the registry section?

Cannot register my CCleaner with registration key
Nergal replied to T Reese's topic in CCleaner for Mac
Sorry, that wasn't a suggestion, it was me doing housecleaning and moving it to the correct board. Sadly, we don't have many (any?) mac users on the forum. But because you're dealing with a pro, you may want to take advantage of the priority support your pro license gets you. https://piriform.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new -

ie must be closed for that section to work. Also some programs run ie as their renderer so be sure to exit those programs to (some examples of past issues were quicken and outlook)

"It appears the bug that caused file deletion was related to Windows 10 users who had enabled Known Folder Redirection to redirect folders like desktop, documents, pictures, and screenshots from the default location." Browsers need to be closed for that section to populate. Are you sure that firefox is completely exited (check task manager). Does ccleaner still see firefox in the cleaning section applications tab? If not did you customize your reinstall into a different folder? Is Firefox deleting cookies (history cache etc) on exit? Those are the three ideas I had when reading your question

CCleaner Pro "Lifetime" Licence - why has it expired?
Nergal replied to psychopomp1's topic in CCleaner
Believe me i'm not wrong, as I said i've been a mod here much longer than Pro has been out. It has always been a year for the two things I mentioned. The rest works as it did when you paid for it. I'm not sure why you have so much anger about losing auto update and priority support. -
Hey look, we're (piriform's) still relevant! Good to know that recuva can help though
