  1. You may be right woody, but lots of people still believe it. http://www2.coca-cola.com/contactus/myths_...ging_green.html But there's lots of things you can do with it, including cleaning toilets!! http://members.tripod.com/~Barefoot_Lass/cola.html
  2. I suppose you could say he was chief mod. as it's his program! However in the running of the actually forums he's not counted as a mod. in the strictest sense of the word.
  3. I would agree with that rridgely. The only other catagory that I would even think of suggesting would be a "How To" section. How to repair permissions ( a quick note on the signs that you need to do this) How to upload images. How to completely uninstall Norton and Macafee (with links to the clean uninstall tools) and other often occuring subjects.
  4. Pwillener, I fully understand why you wrote that. I also wrote yesterday but did not post it. JonnyB, To give you the benefit of the doubt, Welcome to the forum, Any replies to any questions will be posted like this, not in an e-mail. Why not try the recycle options with a few things in the bin, and in your temp files and see what happens. It's not rocket science.!! As for the comments about the drinking habits of the person who wrote the help files, well, they have served pretty well for thousands of other users. Perhaps a comment from you to get off the foot you started wrongly on. ?
  5. I gather that if you delete this file, you will lose the tags of images stored on your hard drive if they were in this file. (in case you didn't know)
  6. Eldmannen, Here's an open source one for you!! http://jocr.sourceforge.net/index.html Newhotness, This one may be worth alook for you although I have not used it myself. http://www.simpleocr.com/

  17. All those questions over the last 20 years or so that you've always wanted to know the answers to (and some you didn't !) All answered correctly, but most in a highly amusing manner. http://www.straightdope.com/columns/index.html

  20. If you look through the bug reporting and discussion part of the forum, I think even you, Ultimate Pedator, would admit that almost all problems are caused by things like VB errors, and permissions issues. Other common problems are cookie saving and that old chestnut, the progress bar. None of which come into the catagory you mentioned, registry damage. Of course there was the recent hotfix problem but this was flagged up very quickly and lots of warnings were issued. A one-off problem. All in all it's an easy to use program, which is not distructive to the user as are some others. We all like to change our setups now and again, products change, as do our likes and dislikes. However this doesn't mean you should slag off what I'm sure you know deep down is a decent and safe program.
  21. Have you considered that it may be the brand of blank CD's you are using? Have you tried the blanks in another computer? While you wait for more suggestions here's your error on google http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=thi...bad+block&meta=
  22. Thanks for the feedback everyone, I'll leave well alone.
  23. Thats the bit I wasn't sure about. I have a Medion windows Xp and they put the recovery files there, I may try to contact them to ask.
