I read (on google!) that the MTX virus affects .DLLs in temp files. Do you have photoshop?

  9. As soon as I saw that the named port exceptions were still there I quickly learnt that I could highlight and delete them! It's a lesson learnt for me that port exceptions manually created for a program in windows firewall, must be manually deleted after program uninstallation.
  10. I installed a program yesterday and opened exceptions in windows firewall for it. An hour later I totally uninstalled it. This morning when I turned on my computer I just thought I'd check the firewall settings. The program was still in it as were the port exceptions. I had assumed an uninstall would include the firewall exceptions. Would this have meant if I hadn't checked, that those ports would have been kept open?

  14. Two little tips I use are, 1. If I am posting in a thread and I need to look back at another ccleaner page for info, I press Ctrl + N this brings up another ccleaner page where I can look back without losing my post on the original one ( applies to all web pages) 2. When surfing and I find a page I want to save to favourites, I just click, hold and drag the little blue icon in front of the address in the address bar, and drop it in favourites just above to the right. I use Internet Explorer.

  20. Tasklist.exe is installed by default in windows xp pro, not the home edition. XP home edition users can download it here. http://www.computerhope.com/download/winxp.htm 2nd one down. Place in your window/system32 folder, do a comand prompt (cmd.exe) and type in tasklist /m > tasklist.rtf ( note the spaces) and press enter, and an .rtf list of .dlls on your computer will be generated in documents and settings /username. Here is some of my list. 24. I have my updates set to automatic but sometimes, as happened today, I go to updates ( because they didn't come on Tuesday) and it told me I had 9, I clicked to download. When it had finished it said the download had failed. On scrolling down it said one of the reasons for failures could be they were waiting to be installed on my computer, and then the little yellow shield came up, and I installed them.
