  4. Open CCleaner, click options on the left, then click cookies. On the left hand side you should see a list of sites you have visited (cookies to delete) Click on a one you want to keep and it will highlight it blue. Click on the arrow in between to send it over to the right. (the cookies to keep column) That's it.
  5. I admire you for trying, good luck with your site in the future Perhaps you could edit your post to show the link like this. http://www.thesteens.co.uk/
  6. Yes she is great Firey, it was discussed here http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=6421 but it's nice you brought it back so those who missed it before can hear her great voice.
  7. Do you get any error messages when trying to delete? You could try renaming the file and then trying to delete it, or boot into safe mode and then try. Also you could try Unlocker from here http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/ It has a bit futher down the page saying how to use it in vista. P.S. Are you using the latest version of CCleaner 1.40?

I've not used this myself canary but have a look here. http://www.jakeludington.com/windows_xp/20...artup_list.html
  9. I have always chosen freeware whenever possible, there are a lot of good free software applications out there, especially in the security area. I used to have avast but it never really agreed with my computer whereas avira (free) does. However if a particular piece of software was something I was really interested in using, and I found after a trial that it caused no system problems, I would consider buying it at a reasonable price.
  10. Hello sexyrage (interesting name!) welcome to the forum. Have a look here http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=8588
  11. It may be a good idea given the name of those temp files to do a hjt log and post it in this section of the forum as soon as you can. http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showforum=12. If you need any help just read the pinned topics at the top of that page, or ask.

  20. Dennis, isn't it just a great feeling when a problem is fixed
  21. Yes JD, I use that function a lot. Also people tend to forget that in the tools section it has a file shredder with 3 modes, the top one being paranoid mode
  22. Are you able to do anything in safe mode about your problem? Also Humpty's suggestion about event viewer is a good one, just put the event id number ( try system errors first) which corresponds with the time of an error in google, it's surprising what it sometimes comes up with. Try as well going into the device manager, when there do -view- show hidden devices, and look and see if a driver has the yellow exclaimation mark on it.
  23. Perhaps he means C:/docs and settings/ username/desktop? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_Folders
