  1. One of the other pages on that site made me laugh with the warning it gives http://www.instructables.com/id/ESDX7EUVSTEX50323D/ EDIT On second thoughts the guy above has some great ideas (his main contributions) http://www.instructables.com/member/chenkerchops/ I just love the humour on this whole site.
  2. There is an error message like yours near the bottom of this page http://www.win-rar.com/84.html Perhaps a read of this article may help you. Also Andavari may be able to help with this perhaps if he sees it.
  3. Saves on having to kill a cow for the leather http://www.instructables.com/id/E9331VJF3DES9J73YS/

    Startup Issues

Do you get any kind of error message? Is there any indication as to what program the windows installer is trying to install? What happens in safe mode? Have you made any changes to your system lately?
  6. Don't forget all the extra stamps and add ons Dennis, I await your best picture which I will try as my desktop
  7. There is obviously a bug in this version to do with this. I am sure MrG, the developer, will fix it in the next build. Welcome to the forum by the way
  8. Do you use secure deletion? If so, try changing it to normal.
  9. CCleaner portable is here http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=5707
  10. I agree Art rage is good, BUT - there is a better one http://www.tuxpaint.org/ Be warned it's good, there is so much you can do. Also download the add ons for a comprehensive program that will keep you going for hours (when you can get the kids off it) P.S. Some of the effects have sound.
  11. Nothing can be lost in letting one of the spyware mods take a look. Post it in the Spyware Hell -Hijackthis Analysis section rather than in this thread.
  12. Go here http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ previous builds are on the righthand side.
  13. Hello and welcome to the forum pmgair Does this solution work for you? http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=9975
  14. How could you be so cruel as to post this link. For the last hour that song has been going round and round in my head
  15. Try going into the tools section, see if it is listed there, highlight, and press uninstall. Also you could try TeakUI one of Microsofts PowerToys. I presume you have done the install/uninstall routine and cleared all instances from the registry? Welcome to the forum by the way rfalter
  16. Here is a nice little screensaver. http://www.clock-screen-saver.com/
  17. You could always try start-run and type msconfig then click ok. Under the general tab put a dot in selective startup. Click the startup tab and remove the tick from the AIM checkbox if it is listed. Click OK and restart. You should still be able to launch manually from programs menu. To reverse changes just go back and recheck box and reboot. As with all changes make sure you make backups to your system.
  18. Was reading about this software and had a smile when I got to the "Limitations" paragraph. http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Chat...y-Monitor.shtml
  19. Is this what you did with AIM? To prevent AIM 6.1 from loading at Windows startup, choose "Edit > Settings > Sign In/Sign Out". Remove the check mark from "Start AIM when Windows starts" and click "Save".
  20. Typically the default place for the issues backups is "my documents"
  21. You are right. it only found this thread!
  22. Lulu, when you click the Host it! button in image shack and it takes you to the page with all the links on, choose the second link down, left-click on it to highlight it, then right-click on it and choose copy. Back at the forum, write your post and then right-click and choose paste, it will put the link in then, however it won't show as a picture until it appears on the forum as a post.
  23. Have you used CCleaner before Augusto? Are you choosing SAVE ( this is the correct option) when you try to download?
  24. Not sure but think it is is to do with the way items are numbered in the recycle bin by microsoft. Are you running XP or Vista? Do you have admin rights? Do you have any other problem?
