  1. I am afraid you will have to give a bit more information than that to get help. Which version are you using? Which operating system are you using? When does the error happen?
  2. Have you tried running the file associations fix for.msc files here? http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm
  3. Apparantly HD Tune may be able to test the condition of it. See the manual link on right. http://www.hdtune.com/
  4. Was on the HD Tune site and noticed something, HD Tune may have detected your problem Dennis. I didn't know it could spot that http://www.hdtune.com/ Go to FAQ's and click on the 'run the benchmark' link
  5. Sorry josie, this is English only
  6. There are quite a few fixes in this thread here http://www.andreasroom.com/blog/archive/20.../18/defrag.aspx The last resort one when the others have failed, is to show hidden files and folders, going to c/windows, look for the .inf folder, open it and find dfrg.inf, right -click it and choose install. Read the thread first as most problems seem to have been caused by using 3rd party defraggers.
  7. It might be easier in the long run with your problems to uninstall totally your version, and download the new version 2.01.507. http://www.CCleaner.com/downloadbuilds.asp Let us know how you go on.
  8. By the way version 2.01.507 is out now.
  9. Glad you are sorted now, look forward to trying one of your recipes sometime
  10. You could try unticking Adobe flash player in applications.
  11. Just had a look on the site, my error, I thought you meant it was stored online....... How does the Recipe Binder work? Our binder is a Flash application that stores links to recipes on your computer. The binder enables you to easily store a list of links to your favourite recipes, so that you don’t have to search for them. You build up the binder by choosing to add recipes to your binder. The notes you add to any recipes are stored on your own computer as well. Can I see my binder from other machines? No. Because the data is stored locally on your own machine, you can only view it from your machine. This functionality may be introduced in the future.
  12. That is an unusual thing to have happen! I don't really know how CCleaner can wipe out something stored on a website. Have you first tried in options >cookies to save the BBC website where they are stored? Perhaps also try unticking Autocomplete form history as a test also.
  13. Only apparently if you have repaired the Windows XP installation by using the Windows XP CD. Best to read the info in the link for a better idea.
  14. A good idea Andavari, I use Karen's replicator for that purpose, copies all my pics, music and setup .exes to a safe place. Plus it's a very small, safe program that is simple to run.
  15. What is the location where they are stored? You are able to excude exclude folders using the options tab.
  16. The first one that had the missing letter was for windows xp, the one underneath it is for windows pro x64 bit edition. Anyone using the xp with the spelling mistake yesterday, well it wouldn't have worked. Have you used the windows pro one in error?
  17. Don't know if this may help you http://www.sturm.net.nz/website.php?Sectio...p;Page=SharePod
  18. Just as an update Microsoft have quickly fixed their spelling error on the fix above, for once they have acted very quick. Although I think the fact that loads of people spotted it helped
  19. Glad you managed to work things out Crazy land1 By the way, CCleaner is totally free, did the place where you downloaded it from charge you for it? Or do you mean you just made a donation which some people do.
  20. Where did you download from? When you installed, as quite clearly shown in unsober's screenshot, you are offered the choice of installing it or not. Did you do a clean install? There is no such thing as a drive by install of CCleaner. You do not need to keep repeat posting the same thing, therefor your similar post has been removed. You have made your point.
  21. There is a problem with the solution Microsoft posted here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943144 If anyone tries to copy and paste the instruction under "resolution" item 2, it will fail as they have put .dl instead of .dll So even the fix is broke!
  22. See here, new version pending, post number 4 lists change log http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=12485
  23. Solution here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943144
  24. When you download CCleaner and install it, the are a number of options for you to choose, one being the yahoo toolbar. All you had to do was notice that option and it would not have installed. Nothing was done behind your back, perhaps this may be the push that you need to get you to read what options you are installing on a software.
