I don't have a crush on FF. In fact I hate it. I prefer IE7 or IE8 beta2 with IE7Pro.

I don't need Shockwave but only have two Flash Player entries

I tend to loose interest after the first page if there is no interesting thought other than what appears to be ramblings of someone with way too much time on their hands or a 13 year old computer whiz kid that knows everything.

How to get into your computer's BIOS: http://www.cyberwalker.com/article/28 Like I said before I dumped all the Nero software and now use CDBurnerXP. I would make sure that the IDE cables are of high quality and are plugged into the drives in the correct sequence as having the cable plugged reversed could cause the symptoms you indicate. http://www.pcguide.com/ref/hdd/if/ide/conf_Cable80.htm Make sure that each drive has the small jumper in its correct place and that there is a jumper as not having one installed leaves the drive susceptible to its lowest performance capability: http://www.pcguide.com/ref/hdd/op/jump_IDE.htm

Where I grew up in the north east of England farmworkers dressed like that to shield their head from the Sun as they could get badly sunburned if they didn't. Every once in a while Monty Python comes back to one of the local Public Broadcasting channels usually during a fund raising drive so I like to watch them. Faulty Towers is another one I like.

The question is does Ad-Aware or Spybot S&D find anything to remove other than tracking cookies? If they find adware or spyware then you need to block them with the HOSTS file, Windows Defender and WinPatrol. HOSTS files I use: http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm http://hosts-file.net/?s=Download Managed with HostsMan and I use its HostsServer proxy to speed up browsing: http://www.abelhadigital.com

This is from my XP Pro system Make sure that you use good quality Ultra DMA (80-Conductor) IDE/ATA cables and purchase good quality CD-RW or DVD-RW CDs for reliability. The DVD player is Device 1 ( slave ) and the CD player is Device 0 ( master ) I like CDBurnerXP http://cdburnerxp.se/en/home
