I am not seeing any issue after removing the left over empty installer folders. You are right! The latest version (QT 7.7.6) does not show this issue anymore. Great! Thanks for the hint. Off the top of my head I don't know what that entry is, other than the obvious (some sort of message cache), but your entry needs a wildcard as the number in the path seems to be different on different systems (and I only have one folder, holding just 13k). Those crash dump/reports files are being wiped without the user's consent. You should also fix them. Off course not everybody considers crash dumps/reports to be junk (including you)! Puts the important bit of the name first, browser clarification second.
