Winapp2.ini additions

Winapp2.ini

Recommended Posts

I have JDownloader2 installed in C:\My Programs\JDownloader v2.0\ - I do however have the HKLM\... key.  would it be possible to add the C:\My Programs\JDownloader v2.0 as additional filekeys to all the JDownloader2 entries?  Or what is the best way to do it?  I have it installed there instead of %ProgramFiles% sicne it does modify the contents of the folder.....

C:\My Programs\JDownloader v2.0 as additional filekeys to all the JDownloader2 entries?

You could try, but sometimes CCleaner won't allow full paths via winapp2.ini entries, it if doesn't allow it a workable alternative is to make an Include in 'Options->Include'.

New Entry

It removes the traces of the Apps (not the metro apps, just regular softwares) that use the .NET Framework. It populates as programs continue to use .NET Framework.

I think the name of both entries should be changed back to Adblock Plus. Same names are fine as they both are under two different LangSecRef.

Like I said before, these two entries should be removed from Winapp2.ini. ContextMenuHandlers and Run entries don't come under privacy/junk.

This will not work, because CC uses the names only (in registry or config file). You cannot use both entries together.

Really bad idea. As I recall, CCleaner is a program to remove junk and secure privacy. ContextMenuHandlers and Run entries don't come under that criteria.

Let's make an entry with a WARNING to remove everything from the OS.

I understand, but that old. Some of these were released in 2006 and 2007.

I still used one of those ancient Ashampoo burners till quite recently on my old laptop as every subsequent release was bloated to hell, but the old one was small, ultra simple and quick ^_^  I totally get your point, but people have lots of reasons for sticking with older software, especially with utility type softwares that don't necessarily gain anything from updates, and it's not doing any harm leaving the entries in (IMO)

Cyberlink PowerDVD also has a Boomerang folder at this same path.  Although I cannot confirm this, I suspect that PowerDVD stores its dumps in this same path.  PowerDVD installs/uses Cyberlink's Boomerang.exe as well.  Therefore I suggest this code not be changed.
