  2. they determines what is "acceptable" according to their acceptable ads rules and i determines myself to disable the option to allow "acceptable ads"
  3. if i'm not mistaken, the changes only affect "Acceptable ads"
  4. just incase Piriform seriously into this cleanup might cause more trouble than space gain but i am happy if it is implemented sometime i use Wincleanup just to see if i'm able to gain free space more than 200mb less than that, i don't do the cleanup
  5. prefer not to change ccleaner into another Tune-Up better use "Startup Delayer" which is a name of a software
  6. if you going to make it separate entries, then it should be like this changes - add DetectFile1,DetectFile2 - tweak FileKey according to entry name or you can use my combined entry here http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&page=235&do=findComment&comment=257393 usually it's hard to get error log and normally just a 2 line text file my history won't go to 1MB so i prefer it to be combine together you missed my [sUMo Database*] entry on the same post

  10. i checked my XP,7 and 8 with chrome installed and i can't find this folder %CommonProgramFiles%\Microsoft\ART\Backup\Google Chrome\ searching through the internet i only see threads of infected people with unwanted toolbar i don't know if this folder related to the unwanted toolbar or not but you better perform an antimalware scan just incase you're infected
  11. @CSGalloway did you test the entries and changes that you made? i mean, for bad side effect and is it can be remove you should read the winapp2-howto on the first page so you can improve your Detect and FileKey How to make your own Winapp2.ini entry! lol..15 min late..stupid connection and you should edit your original post instead of posting additional rule on new post just my 1 cent
  12. set the Browser Monitoring option to "Automatically clean on closing without notification" or you can disable it
  13. prefer not to add this to winapp2.ini what if false +ve happen, mcafee quarantine it and ccleaner clear out the quarantine? should be FileKey1?
  14. all it does is download the same winapp2.ini from it's own server and combine with custom entry (need user input) so i guess we can answer the same way for people who use winapp2.ini right?? plus it support trimming(beta) which is a good inclusion removing ccenhancer only will not delete winapp2.ini inside ccleaner folder so by suggesting to run ccleaner without the enhancer will not solve the problem to @Hollersa open ccenhancer > Functions > Delete custom rules by doing this, you will remove winapp2.ini file from ccleaner folder run again ccleaner to confirm whether the problem solve or not

  18. you have about twenty empty folder where normally there should be only 4 folder with an index.dat (normally for IE8 and IE9) by running Cookies cleaning in IE8 and IE9, each used folder will be left empty and new folder will be created and use this will repeat for every cleaning till i don't know how much is the maximum folder can be create before maybe IE itself delete the folder that why i put that link and ask if you can find whether the duplicate problem happen in IE10..if you read the thread, you'll know the problem for IE10, probably index.dat change to container.dat..i don't know cause i only have IE8 and IE9 to test..will test on ie10
  19. did you find out what happen after you clean Cookies? for me, IE9,win7x86 SP1, same thing happen for XP http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=42366&hl= winapp2 entries that i use for XP and Win7 thnx to Andavari for XP detection added SpecialKey1 because i disable default Cookies entry [Cookies*] LangSecRef=3001 Detect=HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer Default=False SpecialKey1=N_INT_COOKIES FileKey1=%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\DOMStore|*.*|RECURSE FileKey2=%userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\DOMStore|*.*|RECURSE
  20. maybe try upload to GDrive or use other working pc just to make sure the file really corrupt and not the program/windows
  21. OT but this are the feature that i never and will never use - Disk Analyzer -- feel incomplete, prefer TreeSize which is specifically for this purpose - Duplicate Finder -- no need to say anything, even member prefer not give any suggestion except use with caution,at your own risk etc - Addon Manager at Startup -- people get confuse with the word "Startup", cause people to think disable addons will improve windows startup...LOL at you Piriform Change it..Misc or whatever - Uninstall -- prefer use windows or 3rd party app feature removal might not happen but i hope you can change "Startup" to something suitable hope you read this or do i need to open thread in Suggestion?
  22. i don't think OP meant Cleaner part of CC he/she asking regarding Tools > Disk Analyzer feature which is added nothing to enhance CC same goes with Duplicate Finder who ask for it? hate to see if CC turn like Tune-Up(bloat) only add another thing to bug-to-be-fix list @sue2earth you need to state your OS and AV can you test which drive/partition that lead to this problem? if you have local disk C and local disk D partition on the same drive, can you test scanning one by one and report back which partition cause the crash? scanning a flash drive also can help so that we know the Disk Analyzer can complete its job on your pc
  23. "normal files" is undelete data that you and windows use example your picture, document etc
