hmm...if you find ccleaner cannot clean IE10 well enough, you can use IE to clean itself
just clean "History"
i don't think this is cookies because i've clean all cookies but still detected visited link
use IE to only clean "History" and its gone
maybe its due to IE "Speed Dial"
i don't quite understand your problem but i guess, you cannot select drive C:\ or windows partition, is it?
to wipe the disk completely,you need to attach the hard disk to another computer
or you can use windows installation disk to wipe the partition completely
dude,of course we know how to compare thing even can do with only notepad
just that winapp2.ini got many other thing to do other than looking for custom entries made by others
what we need to do is to make it easy for him to update and also let others see the entries so we can discuss whether to include or not the entries
sorry, no offence
i can confirm that [Windows Search Cache*] locked in normal and safe mode even with windows search disabled
need to be remove
@vBender
why don't you just paste here all the new and modified entries like everyone else instead of giving the whole file?
it is easier to view and discuss the entries whether to include or not in the "official" winapp2.ini
is there any entries in winapp2.ini that change how we view the screen?
i mean, the font look smaller after i run ccleaner+winapp2.ini with another cleaning software esp at Start Menu
the font size currently at 100% which is default setting
i just want to make sure that there is no entry in winapp2.ini that can do that
probably not possible
usually the installer will be downloaded into temp directory which will be deleted after executing the install to cover their traces
[Windows Backup*]
LangSecRef=3025
Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM
Default=False
FileKey1=%WinDir%\Logs\WindowsBackup|*.etl
its only delete windows backup logs....i don't use windows backup so i don't have the logs
might need someone who use windows backup to confirm whether the entry is safe to delete or not
i guess, it is safe to delete the log because there is no warning included in the entry
usually if the entry is not safe, they will include a warning
what do you mean with "Windows Backup" attribute?
you don't need to run Windows Cleanup to remove restore point
just use CCleaner
Tool > System Restore
you can remove all except the latest restore point same as Windows Cleanup
