  1. @mike20021969 you can try add that folder to "Include" and set the file type ssdfp*.* change if it doesn't working make sure you use analyse instead of clean to test the "Include" rule
  2. i don't think it's happened here
  3. @LadyDaisy better create your own topic so you can get responses specific to your needs
  4. Suggestion replace [search Everything*] and [Everything (History)*] with [Everything (History and Log)*] i don't like the name..people might think it will delete all history and logs inside windows..any suggestion? [Everything Search Engine*] ? 5. the installer need to do this in order to replace existing ccleaner because ccleaner is still running in the background (Monitoring) this is a good implementation because older version will get an error when try to install with Monitoring on i suggest you use ccsetup.exe instead of ccleaner.exe for the installer name better to differentiate between installer and app
  6. probably you need to uninstall and reinstall back ccleaner or you can try here for support as you're a Pro user http://www.piriform.com/support
  7. need more detail - OS - FF version - Ccleaner version - did you use registry cleaner?
  8. don't know for sure Piriform plan just to make it clear, those asterisk entries are not come default with ccleaner it is an external file, an addon called winapp2.ini , no official support from Piriform and should be considered as beta this is the discussion thread regarding winapp2.ini, http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=32310&hl= CCleaner entries = w/o * Winapp2.ini entries = *
  9. yes, you can use "Custom Files and Folders" https://www.piriform.com/docs/ccleaner/using-ccleaner/including-files-and-folders-for-cleaning
  10. the asterisk sign show that he's using winapp2.ini (ccleaner enhancement) and outdated one avast 7&8 entry already removed in the latest version of winapp2.ini there is no avast 10 entry yet so might be added on the next update
  11. sorry, my bad what i want to say is IF ccleaner add another detection which is [Avast! Antivirus 10] that use the same HKLM+HKCU\Software\Avast Software\Avast, you will get 3 entry in CCleaner DON'T DELETE THE REGISTRY it's not your fault, it is a detection bug in CCleaner to be on the safe side, disable the entry until it is being fix the dev do read thread but rarely comment i hope a mod can come here and report this to the dev
  12. @MTA please view the bold "Detect" in my previous post as you can see, avast v4 use \Avast\4.0 while detection for avast v6 and v8 using only \Avast which make it a general detection v2015 will use \Avast too that why when ccleaner add another detection [Avast! Antivirus 10], you will get three entry in ccleaner deleting \Avast key is a disaster but i think avast will protect it same that happen to Eset because Eset does not use specific registry to show whether it is a ESS or EAV @Staticguy the problem regarding after cleanup, i can't comment any further because i don't use avast need feedback from other member who use avast about shockwave player, i don't know how you get two entries because it's use different detection
  13. ccleaner use file/registry detection to detect application installed that why it happen like this it is a bug but do not worry..you can enable both without any problem
  14. actually, it's not a startup just addons / extensions probably, you still have ff profile in your pc disabling all item does not give any benefit to windows startup speed
  15. try here http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds
  16. you need to change Time range to Everything you can try CTRL+SHIFT+DEL if you can click "clear your recent history"
  17. i don't think anyone will get benefit with that addition do you have a reason why you need ccleaner to show the total number of cookies? might be better if ccleaner add search feature so people who have too many cookies doesn't need to scroll to exclude certain cookies
  18. Can you change ccleaner language to English and try again?
  19. this is the correct place to post bug although i'm not the right person to respond to bug reporting i'm just user just like you so i might don't have the same knowledge as the dev according to forum mod, the dev does read post but rarely respond they respond by releasing new version, that how they work this is beyond me so you're gonna need to wait others to come here afaik and after a bit of test , even ff itself doesn't remove places.sqlite and cookies.sqlite, its just empty the files i don't think this is a bug but can become a suggestion for ccleaner to add the cleaning rule for cookies.sqlite, they might not add it because it will make ccleaner cookies exception rule useless i might be wrong for my installed and portable ff profile sessionstore.js, formhistory.sqlite and \OfflineCache\index.sqlite detected correctly without winapp2.ini i didn't test creating another profile using ff profile manager so you need to wait others who use ff profile manager
  20. i only list what i found in winapp2.ini [Windows XP ShellBags*] DetectOS=|5.1 LangSecRef=3025 Detect=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam Default=False Warning=This will delete window size, window position and view setting of all folders. RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\BagMRU RegKey2=HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\Bags [Windows 7/8 ShellBags*] DetectOS=6.1| LangSecRef=3025 Detect=HKCU\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell Default=False Warning=This will delete window size, window position and view setting of all folders. RegKey1=HKCU\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags RegKey2=HKCU\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU
  21. after a bit of test, i can confirm that ccleaner v4.19/v5 does not detect certain file if ff is still running not only applied to cache data which will prompt you either to close ff/skip can you test with ff closed?
  22. or you can right click > Analyze you will find what files ccleaner detect ( not remove yet )
  23. i guess, ff stored the profile location when you move it to F:\ for the ini entry, can you try CustomLocation1=FIREFOX|F:\Mozilla Shared Profiles\Firefox\t681iswd.FX-shrd-5-3-14\ did you use Analyze or Run Cleaner?
