  1. Same here, MrG. Whatever i write in the dialog box, the OK button remain inactive (grayed). WinXP Pro Sp2 fully patched IE7
  2. This is what happens to me: Cookies are deleted (verified looking into the Cookies folder) but they remain still listed in CCleaner Options > Cookies, also after deletion.
  3. Tried several installs/uninstalls, over previous and also in a new separate folder. All worked pretty fine It seems all features are working fine here, just like in 1.41. My index.dat file still not detected-deleted (just like in 1.41 ) Win XP Pro Sp2 IE7
  4. Please change "Programs to Remove" to "Installed Programs" here: Of course this make sense for we old CCleaner users, but i'm afraid that it can... dangerously foolish new users. No need to explain how

    Translations?

I know how Foxit Reader works (i've translated it as well ). IMO the current CCleaner system is perfect. It automatically installs default english + current Windows language. In my opinion this can satisfy 99% of users. Anyway, can be a nice nice idea make all languages available for download from the Piriform website

    Translations?

Yes, i know. That was a... work in progress
  7. This is not a bug, is a feature If you don't want Office applications to be cleaned, then simply untick "Office" in Cleaner > Applications panel.
  8. I ask just for be sure. I suppose will be reccomended to install it from scratch, not over previous versions. Right ?

    Translations?

Yeah ! Italian version: [DELETED] But this can't be an "official" way to translate it, i suppose...

    Translations?

Guys, not to rain on your parade, but i don't think Recuva will be translatable very soon Since currently the english language is builded-in into the executable, and not .dll based like in CCleaner.
  11. Hola Same here. My habit is to keep all temporary internet files in a separate partition of my HD. CCleaner have always found the new location with no problems, detecting and deleting all crap as usual. Now (i mean starting from 2 o 3 versions ago) the only file completely missing is index.dat. I must use another software just for delete the index.dat file, too bad No idea about this 'special treatment' it deserves Thanks
  12. As Twisted Metal said, CCleaner list everything is starting at Windows start. And yes, you must know exactly which applications can be safely removed before proceed. If unsure, don't do nothing there, since every change made by CCleaner will be unrecoverable! As workaround, you can use Windows msconfig dialog box (Start > Run > type 'msconfig' > OK ), that allow to deactivate (uncheck) each entry, without delete it.
  13. Since "Claudio" sounds like an italian name, may i ask where are you from? I have the same issue with index.dat file since long time, as still reported on this forum. Wonder if this may be related to Windows versions localized in not-english languages
  14. Who knows what could be "disaster" for some people? CCleaner clean all what usually is considered "temp" or "temporary", like applications history, logs, cache, and so on. Of course this doesn't mean you can't keep your chat history for years, if you like, simply uncheck all the applications you want CCleaner leave untouched. Be aware of this: You can run "Analyze" and check what will be deleted. If unsure about some applications, uncheck them and run "Analyze" again. Running "Analyze" there is no danger at all, since the deletion is performed only pressing "Run Cleaner" button.
  15. You can't. Unless you are able to edit a .dll file. I don't understand a word of german, but IMO in english the sentence make sense also without "only"
  16. Nice I'm pretty... obsessed from CCleaner not cleaning anymore my index.dat files. Am i wrong, or also in that movie Index.dat "marked for deletion" doesn't appears? I don't remember if that log entry was included in Temp Internet Files, when shown in not-detailed mode. TY
  17. Indeed the recycle bin will be emptied by CCleaner. If the option is activated in CCleaner setup, of course. (must check 'Empty Recycle Bin' entry in Cleaner dialog box, Tab Windows, Category System) Then put a file in Recycle Bin, run CCleaner from recycle bin menu, and you will see the effect Trusting in CCleaner Edit: Seriously, running CCleaner from Recycle Bin menu, users have no way to see what's happening. For this reason, is reccomended to use this option only when user is enough familiar with the program. Quick Tour
  18. Be aware of this: Running CCleaner from recycle bin menu, then CCleaner does all the work in... hidden mode. For bring CCleaner visible must select "Open CCleaner", not Run.

  24. In this way i get an "access denied" message trying to browse "Temporary Internet Files". Thanks Edit: Sorry, my mistake. Typing the whole path it works, i can open that index.dat file. Indeed most of the content is unreadable, but i can clearly read many visited website's URLs. As showed in this screenshot, CCleaner can correctly find and clean all the temp internet crap, doesn't matter it is located in a not-default position. All, but the index.dat file
