  1. comper6, I'm sure you are probably aware of the fact that... Not everyone is safe from malware or hackers... So this might not be the best thing to do for everyone, just a select few like yourself. Just make a batch file to do it swagger
  2. papadelta, You might want to have a look here: Choosing which cookies to keep. Let us know if this helps. Also, let us know if the most up to date version fixes your problem as well. swagger
  3. To everyone here: These files are still kept in Vista, just in a different directory and under a different naming format... May I direct your attention to: \Users\[user Account Name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer The files will have the format similar to "thumbcache_xxxx.db" and of course are hidden files. Hope this helps everyone. swagger
  4. Adobe Security Advisories: APSB09-04 swagger
  5. cklim55, Have a look here: http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showto...;hl=winapp2.ini swagger
  6. We definitely need guys like this on our side... Helping the developers keep their software safe and secure.
  7. That's the problem with society now... Everyone gets comfortable in their ways and no one wants to change! This could be the next best thing since sliced bread and people wouldn't try it for fear of it being *gulp*, different. I'm disappointed in you guys swagger
  8. Maybe I am wrong... I wasn't certain when I first replied. I've never seen it in any defrag program I have used... JKDefrag, Defraggler, Windows Defragmenter, and AusLogics Defrag swagger (Keith)
  9. You are all over the web YoKenny. I've seen posts from you on Avast and MalwareBytes forums' today This is getting ridiculous though. These people are making fortunes off of unsuspecting folks. Cybercrime is almost as bad as real life crime now. Just because of the time vested in trying to stay secure, money/data lost when becoming infected, and money spent on protection for those who choose to pay for products.
  10. Glad to hear that! Have a good one!! Keith
  11. You can specify what you consider "large" anonymous_user. Go to the Settings menu, then Options. Click on the Defrag tab. For future help, try checking out Piriform Docs Keith
  12. That's odd. Are you checking any boxes after you analyze? I wonder if "Custom Files and Folders" option is included in the analyzed space... I would think it is.
  13. I don't think any defrag program has this capability... Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I don't see why you would want to do that? No offense meant, but how would that be beneficial?
  14. Let me try to understand what you are saying... The number of MB to be cleaned (Analyzing) is usually much higher than the number of MB actually cleaned (Cleaning)? If that's the case, do you usually run CCleaner with internet browsers still open? Did you happen to run it this particular time with everything closed except CCleaner? That would probably make a difference! Keith
  15. Thanks MrG! Nice to have the /shutdown and /large command line parameters! Keep up the good work Piriform!!! Keith
  16. Hi thomas, No, it is not possible to clean all profiles from one profile at this time. Keith
  17. MP3s can contain viruses. I believe they are inserted in the IDv3 tags... But they are very possible!
  18. Welcome to the forum Ben! I believe your issue was discussed recently and confirmed to be seen only in Vista. Keith
  19. I don't think it would hurt to have an option but like hazel, this would probably stay unchecked for me! Keith
  20. Nice find hazel. I like the idea of having a search engine that does not try to store information about you or your search habits. I'll give this a try for awhile. Keith
  21. Thanks hazel for finding that tidbit of information and thanks Dennis, I'll try that product out instead. I don't need anything too powerful, just something simple for home use! Keith
  22. Anyone ever use this? I may have a use for this at home with my computer and laptop.
  23. It's not that big of a deal to me to manually update these programs. Don't know about everyone else.
  24. Yeah sorry, I didn't mean delete, just clean the folder.
