  1. WOW.... That's a healthy breakfast. Are you an athlete? I wouldn't be able to stomach all of that "rabbit" food No offense!
  2. Yes, it's not under warranty? If that's the case and chkdsk /r doesn't fix your problems, I would replace it. Hard drives aren't dirt cheap but they aren't very expensive anymore. I know times are hard, trust me I do, but it would save you a lot of grief to get that troublesome drive replaced. swagger
  3. I did some more testing on my desktop at home.... It seems Defraggler remembers height positions smaller than the default for the block chart but it refuses to remember what I set if it's larger than the default height.
  4. Thanks guys for the back-up... Being on these forums for the last couple of months and using the products that Piriform develop for free, I felt so disgusted by his post. At the same time, I wanted to be helpful and let him know that the problem was definitely not worldwide and that he should check his settings and network (helpful enough I thought). I didn't come to these forums to argue or fight. I just want to help and support great products. And that's what we have here at these forums. Great people, great moderators, and great products. I really still do wish you luck Martin as I know how frustrating it can be to not have something work and feel like you are the only one with that particular problem. I have several issues that I am currently dealing with just like that.
  5. On the weekdays, I go for either one of these 4 combos: 1 toasted bagel, half cup of OJ OR 2 toasted wheat waffles, half cup of OJ OR 2 eggs on a toasted bagel, half cup of OJ OR Cereal with whole milk On the weekends, I generally eat a bit more: Pancakes and 2 eggs OR Pancakes and a bowl of grits OR Omelette with 2 pieces of toast and jelly
  6. I'm not going to get into a war of words with you. It's not my style. You attacked Piriform needlessly and I defended them with just cause. You assumed that just because you had problems on your end, that there was some type of conspiracy going on. I abruptly put an end to that notion. "G.F.Y", I really didn't know what it meant at first but after several minutes of thinking about your blatant abrasiveness, I figured it out. You don't have to worry about me anymore, I just won't try to help you. Have a great evening. Good luck with all 56 of those computers. Regards, swagger
  7. Good job with the move!
  8. Don't get sensitive now... You basically attacked Piriform and their intentions. All I did was tell you that I had no problems downloading the slim version, indicating that this was not a worldwide issue that Piriform has somehow created in an effort to make you install the Yahoo toolbar. Also, they do give you the option to NOT install the toolbar in the installation process. If you can't take the heat, stay out the kitchen. swagger
  9. LOL! I don't mean to laugh but your conspiracy theory is unwarranted. I just downloaded the new version of CCleaner Slim through their website at around 7:45 this morning. I think you need to check your network and Internet settings before you start crying wolf. Just because you have a problem, doesn't mean the whole world has one and that there's some sort of conspiracy out there. Take care, swagger
  10. I can confirm what Delta is referring to. On my work computer (specs are in my signature), Defraggler v 1.08.132 does not remember where I put the split on the drive block chart after closing and reopening the program. My settings are to "Save all settings to INI file" and I run CCleaner once a week on Friday. Hope this helps your cause Delta and the developers. swagger
  11. What do you mean by defective? You could try to repair bad sectors on the hard drive by doing "chkdsk /r". Other than that, I have found that hard drives are very touchy and do what they want to do for the most part. Better off replacing it! Is it not under warranty anymore? swagger
  12. Is the file(s) pagefile.sys or associated with C:\System_Volume_Information??? If that's the case, they can't be defragged while you are in Windows. swagger
  13. I guess JavaRa still has a purpose!
  14. Ah... GREAT! I guess it was just a weird bug. I'm glad it's fixed now though!
  15. Yup, I am definitely thinking about trying this as Icedrake first offered. I wonder if anyone has actually used it and would like to provide their own feedback.
  16. I just installed Chrome for the first time yesterday. I like some of the features like incognito, it seems pretty fast and I like the way it handles downloads (as opposed to Opera's download manager). What I don't like is the Google Updater always running in the background and loading up at startup and the unique ID. Not a fan... I may give this a try though! swagger
  17. I rather just do the online scan Takes about 5 minutes and no software needs to be installed except Java.
  18. I check portableapps.com every day as I use several of their portables... I did not know about tinyapps and portablefreeware. Thanks for the tips! swagger
  19. The release notes says it addresses 2 bugs in the "classes_security" category, however, I don't see anywhere where they say this is a critical update. I wonder if it really is? Has anyone installed it yet? Did it remove update 12 automatically if you had that installed? swagger
  20. I wasn't implying that it was pirated Let me know if that fixes it though. swagger
  21. I have never run into a problem like this before but just off the top of my head, have you activated Office? Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall? swagger
  22. This sounds like a topic to be started on Opera's forums doesn't it? Since you are using an alpha product and all. Not trying to be mean, but I don't know how many people use Opera here, let alone Opera 10 Alpha. I use Opera myself but am on 9.64 and can't even get CCleaner to save specific cookies yet swagger
  23. I tried A-Squared for about 2 days and just did not like it. It is very intrusive and has a lot of false positives. Ad-Aware has become too bloated for me and they do not update very often. SuperAntiSpyare and MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware are my go-to programs with help from WinPatrol 2009. Windows Defender runs on my work computer and doesn't seem to do that bad of a job. swagger
  24. I'm a do-it-yourself type of guy as well. I rather install each individual scanner on my own
