  1. Defragging pagefile.sys means having a boot-time defrag - you can't do that using a normal defrag since it's always in use
  2. Yes, but...it also means that if you have problems, you won't be able to restore your computer.
  3. Maybe, but...there's no ad link, no signature, nothing. I can't see any reason for posting a duplicate of another thread
  4. Or simply Options / Privacy / Never save history (or whatever it is in German)
  5. Is it just me or...is that thread a copy of this one ?
  6. LocalLow is for apps with a low integrity level. For example, IE creates its tabs (but not the main IE process) in a low integrity level - same for ActiveX controls. So if you use QuickTime in IE, it will save its cache in the LocalLow folder (A low integrity level means the process will only be able to interact with other low integrity files and processes)
  7. However, remember that the total fragmentation level has no influence at all on your drive's performance. I think you should leave all SRP, you never know when you might need them
  8. There's a new addon called "Beef TACO" that does exactly what the old TACO did
  9. What is the Flock exe name ? Flock.exe ?
  10. Piriform earns money with the Yahoo Toolbar, so if they did that, they'd have to make a special, paid version with auto-updater.
  11. In the Windows tab, check "Custom files/folders"
  12. Well, .tmp are temporary files, so they might never have been created. Besides, since it's ASP.NET temp files, I don't think a normal user will have them, but rather a dev;)
  13. Please look in C:\Program Files\Flock (or whatever Flock's folder name is) and C:\Documents and Settings\<your name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Flock and see if there is some folder related to user data (it should be in the folder name)
  14. 1) Exclude not only the folder, but also its subfolders, and sub-subfolders, and so on. 2) Well, because some SRP became fragmented. There's no other answer, really. Sometimes SRP are fragmented as soon as they are created, and in most case they aren't.
  15. Too bad the original addon creator sold it... I hope ABP, Stylish and other useful addons will never be sold to some stupid company
  16. What is your Windows version ? (XP, Vista, 7, ?)
  17. This is a known issue - but I have no idea when it will be fixed.
  18. Well, I don't have any huge files to test with, but usually when I delete the contents of my Downloads folder through the Recycle Bin, it takes a while.
  19. Unless you have problems on your computer, you can delete them safely.
  20. Good idea. The .NET 4 folder should also be added - same path, but v4.0.30319
  21. Those files are System Restore Points. They can't be defragged. Add C:\System Volume Information\ to Defraggler's Exclude list (you'll have to enable system files/folders view in Windows Explorer's Folder Options first)
  22. Do you have an up-to-date Windows (i.e. Windows updates, and latest service pack) and an up-to-date antivirus ?
  23. It's not because of the world cup, it's because the wife & her children are mad
  24. The question is "Do you search for files very often ?" If you do, indexing is a good idea. Else, it isn't. I do one search a month, so I turned it off. But if you're on an XP computer, indexing is pretty much useless. Vista/7's one is much better.
  25. Are the fragmented files (you can view them in the File List tab) huge files with long names in C:\System Volume Information\ ?
