When I was a kid in Denmark I had a hedgehog as a pet, as well as a Wirehaired Fox Terrier. After immigrating to Canada my big brother found a baby squirrel nearly drowned in a gutter so we nurtured him back to health and kept him as a pet for quite sometime. He eventually found a mate and decided to move on in the wilds. For about a year he would make an appearance from time to time just to say hi, then one day we never saw him again. This particular squirrel made a very nice pet, he was so cute.

You're a good person Lulu for rescuing this little guy. I remember on two occasions my wife and I have stopped on a highway and tried to help a snapping turtle cross the road safely. On both occasions the turtle was a fairly big size so we figured it was quite old. We discovered they can rotate extremely quick and snap at you with lightning speed. I guess it saw us as a treat rather than a savior. Both times we did manage to get it across to safety. BTW, I think Geronimo is a great name for him.

Hi maryc, welcome to the forum - or should I say back to the forum :-) You may not get a response to your post because of posting in this thread - i.e. your post should likely have been posted elsewhere in the forum. I will notify someone and it may be moved or at least responded to by one of the "fine" people as you so eloquently put it.

Hi Picablu and I also bid you a warm welcome. Don't worry, you will be a post pro in no time at all

I'm sure you noticed the poor grammar within the notice re MBAM. You would think the no-good-for-nothing creators of this software would invest the time to have the grammar correct. I guess they are in too much of a hurry to play their little sick game.

LOL ... good one Dennis!

I think Davey would have said goodbye if he had decided to leave this forum for some reason. I miss him, he was always very nice. BTW, what fairly regular member was it that announced some time ago that he was moving for a few years to some other country and would not be online for quite sometime? Just wondered.

I used Incredimail for several years before I switched to Thunderbird. I decided to switch for two reasons: one reason was because a couple of my friends could not receive email from me - their provider's server apparently did not accept email sent from Incredimail. The second reason was because I did not like the fact that it seemed to be such a resource hog. Other than that, I had no problems with it. When I uninstalled Incredimail (using Revo Uninstaller), if my memory serves me correctly, I was surprised to find over 1000 registry entries. Amazing!

Just deleted all files in the 7-Zip language folder except "en.ttt" and that reduced the size of the folder from about 1MB to about 12KB. Thanks to Dennis' post and this post, which served as a reminder, I will be checking all program files for useless unneeded language files. Before deleting I will first move them to make sure the program still functions properly.

Hi Jamin, just received the picture in an email, I liked it so I just saved the image and loaded to my desktop. I always use the "center" option because I prefer that effect.

Have no idea why the dock disappears. Very weird indeed! I use MWSnap3 for my screenshots and I am really happy with it. Never a problem except for this dock disappearance act which doesn't matter I guess.

My latest August desktop - Sunset at the North Pole.

Excellent point Dennis, I could not agree more.

IMO, these people are just being very foolish. With the excellent freeware anti-virus programs available these days, why not install protection. Zero expense, just a few minutes of your time to install. Pretty good deal in my books!

For info on WinPatrol check this link: http://www.winpatrol.com/

You are simply wrong about free versions never being good. avast! I know for a fact to be excellent - as good as any paid anti-virus - and from what I have read, Avira is also excellent. For what you have not already listed, I personally highly recommend the following: ERUNT (IMO, this is essential in order to be part of the "common-sense" society ) NTRegOpt MyDefrag formerly JkDefrag WinPatrol

Very true and I do always update - just not going to IE8

Hi puligan, welcome to the Forum. You may find the following link useful in regards to information on chkdsk with XP. Info on chkdsk How long have you had IE 8 installed? Like mentioned, a lot of people (including myself) have problems with IE 8. My PC slowed to a crawl and started doing weird things so I uninstalled it (i.e. went back to IE 7) - that immediately cured my problem. Ironically I didn't even need the update in the first place because I use Firefox anyway.

Great find Hazel. Thanks for the link!

Still using my July desktop - the sleeping Tiger. I find something very majestic and very peaceful about this image. Very odd, my Icon Dock disappears when I take the snapshot. Didn't want anyone thinking...poor fellow, no icons at all.

I wonder if Online Armor in position #1 is exactly the same as Online Armor in position #6. The names and the version #s are identical except for "free" being added to description in position #6. If they are identical, wonder why the difference in ratings.

A future version (i.e. v4) of AZFL will have a black skin. However, currently the binary file (.exe file only) of the Black skin version is available from my website: Black skin version of AZFL v3 Some may prefer this skin as opposed to the released skin version.
