  1. Excellent idea. Hopefully someone might tackle this idea.

  3. On both xp and vista, uninstall information is stored in: Deleted by Disk4mat
  4. If its possible I would love such a feature. I have several pages where new links are posted each week, so it would be nice to exclude those when cleaning history.
  5. Couldnt a custom entry be added to 'winapp2.ini'? [Opera 9.x]LangSecRef=3022Deleted by Disk4mat
  6. JD is right Im affraid. If setup does not proceed from the boot CD then its not software problem. When booting from the CD and at the point that Windows is starting setup/copying files, your not in the user enviroment of your current windows install. You could try unplugging all hardware\devices (printer, scanner and other USB items) then retry booting from the CD. I once had a bad cluster on my drive that prevented me from booting into Windows and I couldnt install from the CD. From the command prompt I used: chkdsk c: /p /r Just for reference.
  7. I wasnt entirely sure about the index file. Just trying to replicate what works on my sys. JD brought up a good point though. If you opt to delete cookies you have to add exceptions otherwise you could have to keep logging-in on each visit. I also agree that help and information is lacking a bit. If not for the forum where would we be?
  8. Sorry for my misunderstanding. Try unchecking index.dat from CC. I also use the auto login in IE7 and only have the temporary internet files box checked.
  9. The context was a bit confusing for me, but what I gather is that you dont want IE to rember your login info. So... In IE7, Tools, Internet Options. Under Browsing History click the delete button. In the new dialog window click the buttons 'delete forms' and 'delete passwords'. Now goto the Content tab. Click the settings button and uncheck Forms, Usernames & Passwords and Prompt me to save...
  10. I think its: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download
  11. If system restore dosent help you then I would think your looking at an OS reload. Although most of those problems/issues dont seem to be related to CC. Wish I had better news and a solution for you. Your running XP on a laptop? Just currious. You could try reinstalling your drivers (Printer, OSD etc) however the OS problems will remain.
  12. Huge thanks! Deleted by Disk4mat
