  1. Sadly I know little too nothing about AOL's browser. In looking over thier FAQ's its suggested to change the font size in IE and AOL Browser should adhere to that setting. But thats not working for you, so I can only suggest going through the support channels at AOL.
  2. Im assuming your using Internet Explorer when visiting Google or Windows Update? In IE goto the View menu then Text Size. Choose Medium or Smaller. This not only affects IE but also Windows help as well as some other applications. As for the restore points. You can manualy create a new restore point otherwise Windows will create them automatically as you use the system. AFAIK CC dosent delete or remove restore points. They are stored in a hidden system folder "C:\System Volume Information" the Disk Cleanup utility in Windows has the ability to delete all but the most recent restore point(s). But Im pretty sure that has to be user initiated and cant be automated.
  3. Since you have to revisit and rebookmark, that rules out the registry theory. The only thing I can think of is trying the latest version.
  4. Its intended to clean junk/temp files. It can also erase history, cookies, typed URL's, open/save dialogs, windows run as well as many applications recent file history. Windows logs, Error reporting, recycle bin, memory dumps and more. You can do secure wipes of files (as opposed to deleting them). The only function I see in EE that CC dosent have is clearing the swap/page file.

  7. More than likely it was created by Windows and\or one of the Windows components. The key has existed since Windows 95. The real question is, why the key is being recognized now for the first time. Here is a KB article. Although dosent offer too much info: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314866/EN-US/
  8. I also have an empty HLM\...\Run I also use Acronis on Vista Business. AFAIK the key gets created even if there isnt any program keys stored there. I cant see any issue(s) with an empty key. Actually there are numerous empty keys I've noticed in general.
  9. I have noticed a performance difference under vista. I clean all PF files relating to temp files, installers and such using the following: Deleted by Disk4mat
  10. Agreed. Some people are color blind and can only see certain colors. As far as Im concerned its an accesability issue.
  11. I dont see anything in the log that would be a problem. Jamin4u has an excellent idea. Give that a try.
  12. Do you have any type of an Undelete utility or file recovery app? Some undelete apps I've noticed will backup any+all files that are deleted by the user or another program.
