  1. I see you have RoboForm. That would be the first thing I would check. Otherwise could be the option in IE to remember form data (Tools, Internet Options, Content, Auto Complete). I visted that site and did a couple searches. No matter what I tried, I couldnt get a drop down list of previous searches.
  2. Glad you got that cleared up
  3. Sounds like your security and preferences were altered in Internet Explorer. Also consider the settings for IE's popup blocker & phishing filter. Both accessed via the Tools menu. If your using IE7 also try going to the Tools menu, Internet Options, General Tab, Tab Settings (click the settings button). In the section "When a popup is encountered" select the options to let Internet Explorer to decide. Attached a screenshot
  4. A couple questions. If in CC you right click the key and select "Open in RegEdit" are there any sub keys or values in FCN? Also in CC under Tools, Startup... Which applications are listed there?
  5. Can you confirm if the folder exists? Start, Run: C:\Windows\Installer Look to see if there is a subfolder named {E80F62FF... You may have to enable the viewing of hidden system files/folders via Explorer (Tools, Folder Options, View tab). Either CC is not removing the key or you have an application installed that is performing a silent repair (msi) and restoring the registry key.
  6. And to think... All this time I used to edit the ini manualy, adding the keys. I never noticed the registry button
  7. Windows Defender isnt cleaned under Vista. In the WinApp.ini the entry appears as: [Windows Defender] LangSecRef=3024 Deleted by Disk4mat
  8. The majority are temp files. They accumulate quicky and add up in file size. These files can come from: installers, compression applications and some games may use temp files. Scanning over the file list I see: Adobe Acrobat (install files), temp files from a digital camera (jpeg's), Nero (install files). It appears safe to remove/clean everything in the list.
  9. No problem after running the latest version under Vista SP1. Also did registry cleaning prior to rebooting. Did either of you install any new software or hardware durring the last working session? Aside from CC. ThirdRail I did a search for that error and found an interesting page. If you use WiFi it might be worth a read: http://www.techarp.com/showarticle.aspx?artno=514 Other pages I looked at referenced corrupt or missing drivers. Brian960 the automatic reboot is actually a feature in Windows (enabled by default). Since you've already begun the format its almost impossible to say what the error could have been. Your memory of the days events is all we have to work with.
  10. I have to say, I never herd of this before. Did you get this from an online reference or article?
  11. Cant an exclusion(s) be added? As a temporary work around: Deleted by Disk4mat
