siliconman01
I found a large number of cookies residing at C:\Users\MyAccount\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies. The oldest cookie was dated 6-Nov-2012. Cleaning routine [LocalService Cookies*] would not detect or clean out these cookies. I added FileKey5 and FileKey6 to [LocalService Cookies*] to clean out these cookies. This is on Windows 7 SP1 x86 and x64 Professional with IE 10 installed. I might add that these cookies were not showing up in the list of cookies in CCleaner>Options>Cookies. My machines all have IE 10 at the present time so I am not able to determine if these cookies existed with IE versions older than 10. HOWEVER, I am not certain if this applies to the Windows 7 version of IE 10. There is no WebCacheV24.dat but there is a WebCacheV01.dat in the Webcache folder on Windows 7. A few words about the cache / history on Internet Explorer 10 Recently, I have received multiple reports from users of Internet Explorer 10 ( On Windows 8 ) saying that my history/cache utilities fail to work with IE10, and they are right... As opposed to all previous versions of Internet Explorer that used the same file structure to store the history/cache/cookies information, IE10 uses a completely new file structure. Instead of the old index.dat file, IE10 stores all cache/history information inside a single Jet Blue database (Also known as ESE database or .edb file). This database file is WebCacheV24.dat, and it's located under C:\Users\[user Profile]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache folder More info is at http://blog.nirsoft....et-explorer-10/ Windows 10 x64 Pro on ASUS Maximus VIII Extreme motherboard, i7-6700k CPU,H220 X2 Liquid Cooler, 64 gbyte RipJaws DDR4 3200 RAM, Samsung 970 Pro NVMe M.2 500 gbyte SSD + Samsung 850 Pro 512 gbyte SSD, EVGA RTX 3060 Titan graphics card (Home Built System); Windows 11x64 Pro on 512 gigabyte Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 Laptop/tablet and Dell XPS 8940 PC. Moderators Nergal Posted December 14, 2012 Moderators Share Posted December 14, 2012 I think SpecialDetect=DET_MOZILLA detects also Palemoon. Correct me if it ain't so. Can't test right now (on mobile). this is true also the entries have gone back and forth with and without Firefox, however since they all show in the firefox/Mozilla section they usually look better without (I've added ;Firefox to each entry for my own edification) ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Moderators Andavari Posted December 15, 2012 Moderators Share Posted December 15, 2012 Some Firefox entries didn't have the "Firefox" From what I remember, and I don't know if I'm even remembering correctly they were changed not that long ago. Possibly for aesthetic reasons since the name "Firefox" wouldn't be needed for a Firefox cleaner located directly underneath the Firefox section/header. It does however make perfect valid sense for Palemoon cleaners to have the Palemoon name listed, or at least create a Palemoon section to completely separate Palemoon from being listed underneath the Firefox section/header. Agreed. Some computer users may have more than one use for the Internet, and may prefer more than one browser for different situations. Perhaps such a user might like to clean the cookies on one browser and clean download history on the other. Separate Application checkboxes for Firefox and Palemoon, and separate Application checkboxes for the installed version and the Portable version of any browser, would be a benefit. rohk
It was confusing for me if the winapp2 entries under the Firefox/Mozilla section without the name begin "Firefox" will apply to Pale Moon also, because CCleaners official entries under this section apply to both firefox and palemoon and winapp2 entries come with and without the name begin "Firefox". Including that the winapp2 firefox entries will show up even if Firefox is not installed but only Pale Moon is. My proposal is to change the firefox entries to have the name begin "Firefox" or not to have, but only one way for all of them. I would also change the SpecialDetect=DET_MOZILLA to something else that they would only show up if Firefox is really installed and not when only Pale Moon is. In my opinion these would be less confusing: All Firefox entries with "Firefox" name begin + using SpecialDetect=DET_MOZILLA or All Firefox entries without "Firefox" name begin + not using SpecialDetect=DET_MOZILLA
Moderators Nergal Posted December 15, 2012 Moderators Share Posted December 15, 2012 personally because piriform cleans palemoon with Firefox the palemoon entries, imho, should be merged into the Firefox more... But I don't find that as important as you all do ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Winapp2.ini
The reason that Firefox is prefixed on the cleaners is that having multiple cleaners with the same name causes errors (they'll all fall into one category no matter what you do) and that's the only way to prevent it. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github

Winapp2.ini
Seems that win8 metro apps don't have a reliable registry path between updates, but their paths in the package dir stay the same and are not unique to each machine (from my limited testing) as such, I think it's safe to open the floor for metro app entry submissions. winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
FreeRyde
What are the FLAC files? SMC and AudioPluginMgr README, COPYING.FLAC, COPYING.XIPH, COPYING.LGPL ...are all EULA text. Thanks, Andavari I spent a few hours installing, burning, converting etc, testing those Nero 11 /12 entries 50 hundred times until I got it right. Nero Burning Rom v12.0.02900 and v11.0.23.100 (clean installs) include: - Nero BurningROM - Nero Express - Nero Cover Designer - Nero WaveEditor - Nero Disc speed - Nero Burning Rights
