hey i was just looking for some new bands and i thought it would be cool to find out what some people here like to listen. Just name a few of your favorite bands, and songs, and it would be great if you could also tell what the genre is. Can't wait to see what you like. :D:D:):)

I have a very varied taste in music.

Here are some that I like, in no particular order:

Solo Male

Luther Vandross (best silkiest voice ever)

Robbie Williams (his swing phase was a good move)

George Michael

Barry White

Solo Female

Mariah Carey (can hit the notes that others can't)

Christina Aguilera (very good and powerful voice)

Britney Spears

Kelly Clarkson (has got a good song out in the UK at the moment)

Charlotte Church (has just reinvented herself, nice change)

Rachel Stevens (brings out a song around now every year)

Avril Lavigne

Joss Stone

Bands

The Eagles

Guns n Roses

Oasis

Greenday

Red Hot Chilli Peppers (reminded of these by reading rridgely's post below, these are a definate)

Oasis what type of music do they play?

All the others i have heard of :)

An English band, nice background sound, not very intrusive, some of their hits include Wonderwall, Champiagne Supernova, and Morning Glory, incidently off of the same album, but lots of other big hits form their other stuff. Very good listen.

as for me, i have a little of everything, i've never had someone look at my ipod and say "theres nothing good here", only thing i don't like is angry hate music.

some favs:

ACDC

Big and Rich

Linkin Park

Green Day

CCR

Beach Boys

etc.
