  1. This computer will be probably upgraded in March. Regarding memory usage, I keep on trimming down the number of useless services so less of the "svchost.exe" are used. I'll also uninstall the Linksys Wireless Network Monitor and use Wireless Zero Configuration, and keep only Windows XP's inbound firewall. Man, it's really hard relying on virtual memory, or the way I call it "HD for RAM".
  2. Besides praying for it to boot up and FDC errors, it runs just fine. I do need it to upgrade though. My video card is a pitiful RIVA TNT2 64 32mb and my RAM is a lowly 256mb. I plan to upgrade it to a GeForce 6/7 series video card and probably 1/1.2gb RAM. Good thing I can still play 3d games, although the graphics should be set to the lowest.
  3. Looks like he doesn't know the difference between a real suicide and just risking his life to dive.

    The Kiss.

If I follow my thoughts, I won't find it funny.
  5. Humans are really trying to push physics to the limits. They will break the boundaries that was set fort by their forefathers. Now the coldest temperature may not be elsewhere in the universe, but it's just here in Earth being a lab rat.
  6. I got a screenshot of the error using administrator family account. I used the YM 8 installer in filehippo
  7. I only have XP's firewall. I have a router and a DSL modem with firewalls. In my laptop, YM installs and functions fine. In the desktop, it just won't open no matter how many times I clicked on the executable. In our family account, the YM8 installer from filehippo shows error regarding "unwise.exe". I hope the case is different in the new account. Same thing on the test admin account. It also shows the error. It somehow states that you must run this with administrative privileges.
  8. I don't know why this thing doesn't open up. I created an administrator account, all settings are default. I used the installer from Yahoo. In it the new account, the installation shows it was successful, but when I try to open the program nothing happens. I tried many attempts but to no avail. Using Windows XP SP2 Professional.
  9. That video wants me to crave for TV-B-Gone. It would really be useful on the annoying big LCD/Plasma TVs in supermarkets here. In one moment people are astonished by the quality, then the lights will just suddenly go off!
  10. Vista, for me, is still very young to hit the big market. The OS is very promising. It gives us the idea on how the computer world may evolve through years of innovation. Yes, as of now, Vista is more secure, but does it support most of the programs users enjoy in XP? You can secure XP if you have the knowledge. No matter how the OS is built, if the user is just more or less an average joe, then it will be susceptible to the horrors that plague Windows OS over the years.
  11. Why does some people turn from being normal into mentally ill when they become stars? One example would be Britney Spears.

    Life on Mars?

For me, it's more of a rock formation in a form of a human here on Earth.
  13. I've noticed a faster response in looking up websites. DNS here is crapshot. Nuff said.
  14. Well those monsters are good in quality roads. In here low riders are in great peril of big humps, bumpy roads, uneven steepness etc etc. I think a rally car would really fit here.

I'm currently using Stolen 17 by leosss on deviantART. I replaced its default shellstyle to my liking, which was also from leosss.
  16. The topic posted at Softpedia is kinda like outdated. As LUSHER said, there are other security software that should be noticed. Blacklist software is always behind on what they're after. Traditional security is weakening day by day. Zero-day software has covered what traditional security is vulnerable at.
  17. Happy New Year to all. Well the celebration here ended 1 hour ago.

Php 1,548 or USD 37. I'm happy with that small amount.
  19. Well, if people who are gonna use this has some doubts on "what's the function of this or how to do this", they should ask for help before doing anything that may annoy them. They should really think and analyze before doing such actions, or else they'll come complaining and some of us may say "Did you read the manual?". Not being boastful but, by reading a lot of technical things wandering on the net, I easily understood the functions of CCleaner. It's the matter of getting information, using them correctly, then doing the right action.
  20. Does the installation go like a normal XP security update that was downloaded?
  21. I have a question regarding this. Did the computers with SP3 show any time limitation or somethin'? I got confused when I visited this
  22. Mediafire-Up to 100mb per file and has unlimited storage Rapidshare-bad if you're a free user: slow, and requires you to wait for some time
