Before you spread false rumors; consider this. What else did you do when you installed CCleaner? Empty Recycle Bin is still there on my machine and every machine I've installed CCleaner on.

I initially thought the same. So I let it sit for about an hr... Now I'm pretty sure that it doesn't take 1 hr or so to delete 300 detected objects... I believe it sits there because it's still deleting/removing malware. Sometimes it takes a while to get rid of it.

It's a setting in Windows to clear the pagefile on shutdown. It's a standard one pass delete. You'd still have to overwrite that free space.

Look in Eraser, there are two DoD items. Three passes = US DoD 5220.22-M (8-306. /E) Seven passes = US DoD 5220.22-M (8-306. /E, C and E)

Windows automatically recreates the files. CCleaner marks them for delete on next boot, they are deleted then Windows restores them though they are clean.

I do believe that they are saying you install it once and can clean all accounts under one user such as the Administrator account.

There's not really much security at all in clearing your pagefile at shutdown, as you would have to overwrite that space with data at least seven times.

Make sure Custom Folders is checked under the Windows tab.

It is more about the people who are getting "attacked" and are fed up with it. I am one of them. This is being looked into, but what can be done? Also, anyone noticed TwistedMetal is still moderator and not suspended during the investigation?
