  1. Crucial is all right...it's ActiveX Control is all good, so you needn't worry. If you feel like posting what is in your system...I will still help. A GB of RAM is not to bad.... if you are running integrated graphics instead of a separate card, that would be a better bet in what you need to upgrade. AJ
  2. I love how everyone is volunteering.... and they didn't even ask for it! I better jump on the bandwagon...lol -- I am available. AJ
  3. I knew it was bad..but not that bad...lol. It's sad when I go over to help out one of my friends...run a program like Ad-Aware...and come up with over 2000 entries within the first 5 minutes. I hate it when they go out onto bad sites with no protection. AJ
  4. craigathus - run the scan again please and take a screen shot and post it......try to get everything...if you have to do it in to...that fine... I want to see exactly what the Crucial scan showed you. I'll try to help you out once you post back. Thanks AJ
  5. Hahaha....nice... sweet find. AJ
  6. I just bought this for my Dell - TigerDirect - Crucial Ballistix 2 GB set. I checked my internals with the scanner at Crucial.com. I only have 512 MB of PC2-3200 right now...aka slow ass start up in Windows XP Home...this should help considerably. AJ
  7. That's...funny as anything... lol AJ
  8. CCleaner Portable Sorry..unneeded... AJ
  9. Nice colors I don't think you need better zoom, I think you have to make sure that you are focused on the right thing... the bugs look outta focus, while the background looks sharp. AJ
  10. Mobo = Motherboard. You could go to Crucial.com and use the "Scan My System" button on the main page. (Only works with Internet Explorer or with the IE Tab extension in Firefox.) Click to agree to the Terms and Conditions and let it run. The page it comes up with RAM options... but on the left side of the screen, it has a bunch of text boxes; check the one that says video card, and un-check the others. Then, click on the ones that it shows, and it will tell you if it's AGP or PCI. AJ
  11. Geez....that is a lot of time .... I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but dang... this is just... weird. AJ
  12. That's a big baby.... geez... AJ
  13. My bad.... I get into a mode where I'm just like "computer talk = guys." I was sorta tired, but then again, I never realized it... will jot it down.. AJ
  14. krit86lr said "and install my xp sp2 CD. I might even use the x64 platform version, never used that one before." So I thought he could do both... XP SP 2 and XP 64 just because he could.... What Linux were you using? I heard Ubuntu is real good about detection, but drivers for newer video cards (8800's) wasn't good... AJ
  15. You won't dual boot?!!?!? No balls JK JK !!!! Ya.... how much did that system cost?? It couldn't have been more than a few hundred...cause it isn't a Core 2, and the GFX chip isn't top of the line... AJ
  16. I wonder why they are offering this; I will probably download it. AJ
  17. You have to be kidding me...people scamming the products....they got to be jerks....and Piriform might now have a lawsuit... I searched eBay for Recuva and CCleaner.....came up empty... AJ
  18. Haha...it was on my Dell.... I deleted it...hated it...and put on Norton..much more reliable. AJ
  19. Geez.... I hate big snakes...and hairy, big spiders....ahhh chillssss.... AJ
  20. Looks good...the only thing is.... unless I'm mistaken, you won't have DirectX 10 functionality with that integrated card.... but I'm assuming you aren't buying this laptop for gaming, more of a overall good work notebook?? AJ
  21. Haha.....geez....this topic might be locked for "inappropriate conversation." ROFL AJ
  22. Until Firefox kills my computer.... no Opera for me... I'd rather log onto AOL then download another browser.... AJ
