  2. Haha......omg..thats so great...a freakin' x1900!?!?! LOL But seriously, anyone who did this should do the hdd upgrade, but a different RAM and Monitor upgrade. AJ
  3. I was wondering if there was a way to get rid of check boxes that no longer apply to my computer. For instance, I had Google Earth, but I uninstalled it. However, it is still there under the applications tab. Is there a way to fix this?? Thanks, AJ
  4. Not bad--- but I have only 768K cable, and I live in CT. AJ
  5. Haha good job... Another way to "fix" ur keyboard is to smash it on ur concrete garage floor, stomp on it, and swear loudly while doing it. Wondering where I got this from? Go to Google Video and type "fps doug" and watch.. AJ
  6. Oh, I thought your "Dial-A-Fix" program would help.... I guess I was mistaken. I guess I could always keep deleting them, but it is annoying. If anyone else could help, it would be appreciated!!!!!!! AJ
  7. Did you check to see if they hid the folder??? Goto Control Panel>Folder Options>View Tab> Click on "Show hidden files and folders" then go back to C:\Documents and Settings\Jason\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\ and see if it is there. AJ

  9. Dude...I can hardly understand your post....take your time and type slower and in clear, concise EnglishI I guess what you are trying to say is that your Geforce XFX 5500 card used to run totally fine, and now, when playing games, it starts off okay, but it slowly degrades to the point where it is slow and the graphics look like crap. And I am assuming that you also have 512 MB of DDR RAM, and a 2.6 gHz processor with a 256 cache. ________________________________________________________________________________ Have you overclocked your card at all? Cause if you did, you possibly fried the card. However, the symptoms I've heard for this is a "digital static" that comes up on the screen. Did you recently update the drivers or firmware? If you did, make sure you used the right ones. Get back and see if you have updated anything, and make sure you did it correctly. AJ
  10. zaphier.... I've run it at least a hundred times....and it comes back every so often....IDK what they are. AJ
  11. Hey all, I scan for issues daily, and every week or so, the same few things keep popping up. I don't know why, but here's a screen shot. Can you help me on how to get rid of them permanently? Thanx in advance AJ
  12. Here it is: the NVIDIA 7950 GX2 graphics card..... NewEgg - NVIDIA 7950 GX2 Dual processors on one card!!! OMG!! 1 GB of video memory! Multiply that by two in SLI mode and you get a graphics combination that will last you the next five years, and all games that are comming out! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AJ
  13. That's nothing.... Go-L My dream computer.....and monitor. AJ
  14. If I were building my own system, (which I want to do REALLLY soon) I would buy from three places online, Tiger Direct, Zip Zoom Fly, and New Egg. These three are probably the most reliable and most trusted. As zaphier said, it matters what you want to do with your computer. A gaming system will be much differtnt than one used for something like word processing and emailing, and possibly photo manipulation and listening to music. Get back to us with what you want to do with your new tower. AJ
  15. One thing to note about the Windows Defender cleaning; when you clear the history, it won't remind you to do a sweep every three days, because when you clear the history, it will totally reset, and won't remind you to do it. Just a note of advice. AJ
  16. I think they are cool... look how many I have AJ
  17. Can I take a guess and say he is infected with SpyAxe, or some variation there of??? I had two different uncles infected, but other people took care of it before I could. AJ
  18. I remember my family's first modern PC- Windows 95, Pentium (I or II) 200mhz and a .9 or 1.2 GB harddrive. LOL AJ
  19. Can't wait for it!!! Woohoo!! AJ
  20. Thnx.....it's weird...I don't run that many things on this computer...who knows. AJ
  21. I was about to say that once I read Dark Ages first post....that is odd. AJ
  22. Wanna hear huge?? My dad works at this hospital...head of the radiology department...he told me the whole hospital network has about 12 TB's of storage!!! Damn....imagine all the games and programs that could hold.......wow........ (drool) AJ
  23. I have a newer Dell.....8400 Dimension...and got the 17inch Ultrasharp LCD...as of right now, I'm using the analog cable, but do want to get a DVI cable eventually. The GFX card is a 128mb Radeon x300, and it's pretty decent for games...I will up that eventually. slowday, look at THIS CARD (XFX GeForce 6200 ). It's got analog and digital support, has 256mb of memory, and is only $55!!! I'd definetly look into getting this card. Yes, I am only 15 yrs old (almost 16) but I know a lot about comptuers. The Intel GFX controller (I suspect) can't handle 3d games-I say this because my friend has a Dell Laptop with something similar, and I tried to load a demo, and it wouldn't play it. I'm not trying to turn your computer into a game machine, but this will give it a nice boost. AJ
  24. I would highly recommend visiting Spy Checker. It has a lot of great programs, (freeware, and trial versions) for different things...I think I found CCleaner through this site. AJ
  25. Allright, I'm running Windows 2000 Pro on this computer. When ever I look do Ctrl+Alt+Delete, I always look at the Processes Tab under the Task Manager. To me, it seems like there are too many processes going, and I want to see which ones I can get rid of. Whenever I check Windows Defender, I look at the Start Up Programs, and then the Currently Running Programs sections, and everything seems fine, but I go back to the Task Manager and it seems like there is more running than should be. For instance, I have 4 of the svchost.exe at the same time: that just doesn't seem right. Any help would be apprecieated. AJ
