  1. What a pointless statement by Spybot. Surely, it is not uncommon for some programs to conflict. In fact you will often see warnings that haveing 2 or more resident shields may cause a problem. For Spybot to suggest adding NIS to its database for just spite is totally ridiculous. PS. It would I think be better if the moderators of this forum opted out of the product bashing threads

  4. I'll take your word for that Tony, but can assure you, that stopping and restarting explorer via task manager. is the only way to complete Ccleaners action. Its a queery thats come up several times.
  5. Also worth metioning that after cleaning you have to stop explore.exe vial task manager, and then restart explore.exe. PS. rebooting the PC does not achieve this

  11. I know of only one battery soldered to the motherboard
  12. They are a cmos rechargable battery and are often flat when purchased. Therefore power up the pc and leave it on the battery will be charged after a few hours. Dont forget to check your Bios settings.
  13. You have to let a new cmos battery charge up. Make sure your bios settings are correct specially the hard disk, boot sequence and so on
  14. It also protects the bios settings. Flat cmos batt' can happen on old machines that have not been powered up for a long period. Leave the power on for a few hours and then reboot. You may get lucky. You may also have to reconfig bios settings (hard disk type etc) if battery ok. Maybe M'board
  15. They are ms windows and norton hidden system files. I am not sure it is wise for Ccleaner to show these in the uninstall list
  16. When I was using spybot with NIS 2006 although without the teatimer it worked fine. However, I have seen several posts that mention Teatimer can cause some conflicts.

  18. Your screen shot shows you have other explore MRU's checked. just uncheck this item. (mru = most recently used)
