mfench: the free version of the program is intended for home use only. however, the free version also has support for LAN if anyone needs it. also, this program works quite good. no ugly skin and a decent enough interface. i love it

the plugin doesn't support just 32x32. you probably have an older version . right now, it can do 8-256bit along with support for compressed PNGs(a new standard in Vista). it also does animated cursors

what's MG.com? that's funny that it worked. when i disabled the service today, it didn't stop foobar2000 from playing . and yes i'm using DirectSound and not Kernel Streaming . Maybe a restart could have stopped it but if it solved your problem, i don't care

you sure those are the correct drivers? i dunno what kind of laptop you have of what it has inside it so i can't be much help. this link might be the answer to your troubles but i am not 100% sure. if it doesn't work, then uninstall these drivers. http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SOUND-CAR...river-391.shtml also, i seriously doubt that Winamp could cause something like this. all it does is play music. but if it really did it, then this is proof that Winamp sucks. and finally, go to Start > Run and type in "services.msc" without the quotes and go down the list to where it says "Windows Audio". make sure that the service is enabled. if it isn't Enable it. edit: why did you post when i was posting

you ever try AIM AdHack rridgely? when i used to use AIM, i used that and it worked like a charm. AIM AdHack's website also has a plugin for AIM called Smilez which tabs your conversations

Don't bother. the only thing that i can foresee is the release of Vista being horrible. it will most likely be really buggy due to the fact that Microsoft is trying very hard to release the final version as fast as they can.

ummm 7-Zip also has a GUI. it doesn't look as great as WinRAR's GUI but it gets the job done. also, i'm not sure about this, but i don't think that WinRAR supports 64-bit systems while 7-Zip does. you can even achieve faster compression with 7-Zip running under it
