  1. Darnit, too posts in a row that make me wish the thanks/like button worked on this website
  2. Feel free to express your reason why conversely whomever believes they should be merged express their reasons too.
  3. Browser tabs are no longer on the startup tool I think that the context menu items are in the same as start-up because (just a guess, no actual developer info here) because separating too many things would end up cluttering the GUI.
  4. Edge, and any applications that use it to render, must be fully exited before attempting a clean (as do firefox, chrome, opera and safari)
  5. That's odd I have it on my nexus 6, both when I was on 5.1.1 and now that I am on 6.0.1
  6. I believe the issue stems from having one or the other of site preferences or sessions checked off under firefox on ccleaner's applications tab
  7. Weird, works on mine, when I get to a pc I'll try and check my ccleaner settings
  8. Again it maybe monitored, just not listed in setting. Open a chrome portable session with ccleaner monitoring, then close chrome and you may see the popup stating "chrome was closed do you want to clean it" Edit: do you have customlocation set for chrome.
  9. Uh...I'm unsure what is being asked. What is a dbf file. What is foxpro? Why ask here as your first post. I feel like you are setup spam and not a serious questioner. Feel free to disabuse me of this feeling.
  10. Nothing, but you probably had firefox open when ccleaner started which may? have added the option.
  11. I think it still does (on my win10 anyway my monitor asks to clean when I close Port. Chrome and Firefox) the option to turn on or off just isn't there. My theory is that while running the portables are easy to monitor (e.g. shows up as firefox.exe in task manager)
  12. As it is portable, there is no single location where ccleaner could detect the firefox.exe, so how would ccleaner be able to find it. Without an additional layer of customlocation, a feature that isn't highly publicized nor part of the GUI, I'm not sure how this could be achieved for montioring. (Opinion only, not "official answer")
  13. Make sure edge and any applications that may use it to render (especially WindowsUI apps) are closed and fully exited (not running in background)
  14. Same issue occurs with my mother's HP Envy touchscreen which runs NVIDA ge. I've had to rebuild the machine thrice and sent back to HP once. I'm now trying with a clean install of windows 10 (as opposed to a dirty upgrade). I think it may result from NVIda and Microsoft both attempting driver updates.
  15. all of these and more will determine the length of time, in addition ETA means exactly that estimated
  16. On that, since nothing for firefox is being cleaned by ccleaner (that's what the checkmarks are for) are you sure it's ccleaner that's removing your seesion details and not an add-on or FireFox itself.
  17. Much more useful to run a debug (see sticky at top of bug reporting board for instructions); the area currently cleaned will often show the item cleaned before the crash as opposed to the one causing the crash.
  18. There is no difference between the free and pro versions ability to detect and recover files. What you see there were actual .tmp files on the drive.

Wait, I'm confused. If the neighbor was sick was her death not considered natural causes. In order for there to be any police action the death would have to be ruled a Homicide or at the very least "pending investigation" (please note: this is information based on U.S. law) There are only six possible "Manner of Death" catagories: Natural, Accident, Suicide, Homicide, "Pending Investigation" and "Could not be Determined". The first three are not looked into by police. Depending on jurisdiction, so called "assisted suicide" can be ruled as a "Homicide", so I guess this could be the case here, but otherwise I can't see this occurring. [information provided via the Center for Disease Control "Medical Examiners' and Coroners' Handbook on Death Registration and Fetal Death Reporting" (2003 version) which is publicly available on the CDC.gov website as a PDF file.] Ok that said, and please note NONE OF WHAT I SAID HERE SHOULD BE CONSIDERED LEGAL ADVICE, I'm not sure that this would be a proper place to discuss such a heartbreaking issue. My heart goes out to you, though, in this horrid situation in which you find yourself.
  20. It's not ccleaner at fault here, it's caused by blindly cleaning the registry despite ccleaner giving multiple chances (per entry to be removed) for the user to look at the entry and make an educated decision on if it should be removed. Please read my signature, which applies whether you continue to use ccleaner or move to another registry cleaning solution. That said, I've never found a more gentle (less likely to cause issues via removal of necessary keys) registry cleaner than ccleaner; this is why so many people have experiences like where they "never before had problems" with registry cleaning. Metaphorically speaking, I live in the desert and often go walking, I've never been bitten by a snake nor attacked by a coyote; this doesn't preclude me from being injured by these very dangerous animals and does not mean that I can be oblivious to the dangers they present.
  21. Can't remove keys related to your antivirus/security software, my guess is this is a good thing and not a bug
  22. You can use ccleaner's exclude section to tailor some of those not to remove
  23. make sure all browsers (including safari) are closed and exited. Also you need to upload the screenshot, you gave us an URL which points to a picture on your harddrive (thus the file:// )
