No problem in my machine (XP SP3, Avira 9.0 & Comodo).I did many right clicks and worked fine...No freeze Try clean installation of Avira 9.0

I've seen your spec is fast.One thing to try though is to create a folder on your desktop and move all your icons there. More specifically,when you log into Windows , icons are redrawn several times while your desktop is initialy loading.

My advices : 1.Let default setting do scan your registry.(leave IEurl History n Emptykeys unchecked) . 2.Before you do,back up & create restore point checked. I think standard MBAM (free) won't. It only detects other nasties like malware,spyware,bot & trojan.You can find further information in MBAM forum. SAS free should find and remove this worm cause SAS has definitions for all known Confc variants. I have SAS Pro with real time protection to block it. Most AVs can detect this worm.I prefer Avira or Avast with latest version/definitions.

My mom's PC got warned this morning that " you maybe victim of software counterfeiting ".Damn .... As I know, she bought genuine software from authorized dealer.She already had XP Pro SP3 with all the latest updates from Microsoft (WU is on). What should I do ? Reinstall or give it back to dealer and get new one. I can't believe this could happenned after long time. Microsoft SHOULD ANSWER ! ! Thank for your suggestions .
