  1. Thanks guys. I'm still looking for more opinions if anyone would like to chime in.
  2. Has anyone tried this software? I've used other register cleaners before but I'm not too sure how good they are and I don't much confidence with them as some can be too aggressive and delete important files. I've come across this one today and I'm not sure how good this is. Here's a quote from the site: Does anyone know if this is safe to use? Some of the other cleaners only scans but doesn't fix/clean the registry but I think this one does, although I'm not too sure. Anyone have any negative experiences with this program?
  3. http://www.lifehacker.com/software/firefox...eaks-209941.php Fast and simple way to config firefox 2.0 settings to the way you want it. If you don't like the way 2.0 is set up, you can revert to using the old version (i.e. new version has an "x" for each closing tab and it can be annoying if you accidentally close the tab by switching to it, whereas old version the "x" is all the way to the right so you can switch tabs w/o worrying it will close it by accident). I don't know if this has been posted before or where I should post this topic but please take necessary action if you deem fit.
  4. Oh ok. Just thought I'd share this as I thought it would be somewhat helpful. But you are right. It is best to leave it up to the experts.
  5. I just found this link off a site I was browsing and it seemed to be pretty good. This is basically a guide that tells you what objects are dangerous so you can delete it yourself without relying on other people. Even if you don't have any experience or idea what you're doing, it's pretty much straight forward instructions. It's fast and easy and safe. Here is a picture. Simply copy and paste your logfile into the white box and click "analyze". If you see a green check it means the item is safe. If it is in red it means it's dangrous and you should delete it. If unknown, you can leave it to the experts to decide. Just go to the log and put a check by it, then click "fix it". Here is the link http://www.hijackthis.de/
