  1. Ok, good stuff, at least you was aware of it.
  2. Looks like you might have a problem with AVG Mudd.

    Fun forum

Thanks Andavari, I'm sure I will be back regularly one day, just struggling to find the time at the moment. Well, you know login123 and DennisD, and you might remember some Americans from the other place forum that you joined a year or so back, I only have the cream of the forum world there anyway. Come along and join in the fun, it makes a nice break from computer talk. Must of seen a link to it elsewhere then hazelnut. Would love to see you over tthere.

    Fun forum

I know I don't post here much anymore, I don't even log in much anymore, but I do look in everyday, just seem to spend most of my time on fun forums lately. If anyone feels like joining a forum that is dedicated to random chatting and having fun, then give my one a look. Sparky's Place Sorry for what might seem like spamming, and thanks.
  5. It was posted about 12 to 18 months ago from what I remember JD, and from what I remember all the browsers that I tried passed it, so the results are almost pointless.
  6. Just as a fyi, 1984 is the police. He has been a cop since early 2006 if I remember correctly.
  7. How about cleaning the cd then allowing the found new hardware wizard to do it's thing again. You never know, it might of missed a few files due to the cd being a bit dirty or something. Alternatively, download the software from the manufacturers website, uninstall what you have already installed and reinstall from the download. Plus, it could also be that your cd drive is having lazy moments.
  8. What a timely subject, I have been looking for a freeware video editor for the last week, so I'll give it a try as well.

    My new site

LOL at the last sentence explanation. Firefox for all the screenshots.

    My new site

Nice little site rridgely. However there are still some spacing problems. The three images below were on a computer in work with 1024 x 768 resolution. The three images below were on my computer with 1280 x 1024 resolution. The spacing on these three looks nice in my opinion. Finally, does the end of the sentence in the image below make sense or is it me?
  11. The bad weather continues, my garden turning white as it slowly but surely gets covered in hail stones in a thunder storm, it is more like December than July out there at the moment.
  12. Your son was lucky then. I thought I was doing well when I upgraded my ZX81 from 1k to 16 k. Those were the days.
  13. Thanks for posting about this piece of software chronos55, it has just saved me hours of work in creating an image made up of loads of images for a website. I have been meaning to do it for ages, but kept putting it off, this made it possible so much easier.
  14. Hey, I'm at that stage as well, after being forced to reinstall last week, I have so much less software on my computer now.
  15. You should switch to KompoZer, it is NVU with some bug fixes. http://kompozer.net/
  16. You are from my neck of the woods with regards to software, I still use paint a lot, I have just recently started using paint.net a bit more though. Anyway, sorry Dennis, can't help you here, I'll ask my kids.

    PC Decrapifier

It's too easy to go along with fast talking salesman who are hard to compromise with though, and just accept what is installed, knowing that you will get rid of the software yourself when you get the computer. PC Decrapifier could be especially useful when you order online, and can't quibble about pre-installed software. I aim to try it sometime this week.
  18. I used to like the close button as well, but it was removed due to pressure from forum members, I think DjLizard was one of the members that disliked it a lot, but what does DAF have? A nice Exit button at the bottom, when the X or alt+f4 would suffice.

    PC Decrapifier

Stumbled across this today, not tried it yet, but I will hopefully soon, could be a useful tool when buying a new computer. PC Decrapifier

    auto-complete

Have you tried the following? Start Internet Explorer Click Tools Click Internet Options Click Advanced Scroll down and make sure 'Use inline AutoComplete' is unchecked. What browser are you using by the way?
  21. Restarting the computer should bring the recycle bin back. I had the same thing happen to me the other day.
  22. It is our kids, and then their kids and so on and so forth that I feel really sorry for, because the world is going to become a lot worser than it is better as time goes on. My kids have not lived the life that I lived as a kid, the world has become too much of a scary place for that. I am quite happy to kit them out with all the latest technology just so that they stay at home using it, at least I know where they are and that they are safe then.
  23. In addition to what rridgely suggested, I would also run CCleaner Issues before installing Opera again.

    PHP editor

I was starting to have doubts about whether they existed or not. I'll have a look at ConTEXT at some point though. I may well do, because I doubt whether I will have figured it out myself by then.

    PHP editor

I normally use NVU (lately I have been using KompoZer though) for creating web sites, but now I feel I need to branch out a bit and start including PHP into my sites, I have been trying to learn how to do it myself by reading online tutorials, and I have also posted on some PHP help forums for help, but I am finding it all a bit daunting. Can anyone recommend a WYSIWYG PHP editor? Or, does anyone understand PHP enough to be able to help me?
