  1. Anyone been experiencing problems with Threat fire, wont start up at system start at times and seems to be slowing my system a bit, didn't happen before.. Any suggestions?
  2. nice one many thanks! the crucial next step ? do i use Nero or DVD Shrink and which files do I select of the decrypted ones in the new Decrypted DVD folder pls ?? i.e how does one burn the decrypted files onto a blank dvd

Hi Just trying to burn vob/ifo files, should I be starting with DVD Shrink and then will Shrink incorporate DECRYPTER to do the rest or does one start off with Decrypter, coz I tried with Decrypter but when I tried burning with Nero it said they weren't files of an accepted format... Is there an online help guide to DVD Decrypter atall? ta

Seems to be a great program but require help as regds burning to a blank DVD ..... 1) what do I set the file to ...IFO or ISO ?? whats the write function in the ISO ?? 2) Does it not work with NERO?? 3) After its decrypted and stored all files to a folder how do I get cracking, burning this to a DVD pls........ many thanks

  7. Zone Alarm's IM Secure Pro is supposedly good at preventing these, and anti-flooding as well, only ever tried its basic freeware version which didn't really do much atall!

Tried PimpFish? anyone, I used the basic (freeware ) version and its not bad but for the fact it adds its tool bar in IE7 and most features can not be modified to suite individual preferences; I believe its Pro ( paid for) version is good with a 'Plugins' feature to it; but I've only ever used freeware open licence stuff Does any one use a good program which is pretty much stand alone, ofcourse must be addware / spyware free and not a resource guzler?? ta
  9. I use RegScrubXP and CCleaner, and occassionally JV16 ( the last freeware version ) great program!

I don't seem to be able to download Super from their merry go round website .......... used CCleaner to clean all temp files, allowed cookies and all the silly recommendations .......by the way what is the MSIE cache files to be cleaned stuff all about ; this is required to be able to download from their website. ta

Is there any known bug or has anyone experienced CCleaner not cleaning at system start up?? does it actually show up a report or any pop up/ balloons to intimate CCleaner activity?? coz I see none happening on my system.. I have Threat Fire running on my winxp, any known issues as regards compatibility with CCleaner ?? the last time I ran CCleaner the computer just didn't shut down, and reported a message saying " Windows is in the middle of a very long process" I had to force a shut down. Any suggestions?? pls... many thanks

I've got Windows media player 9, Spider ( basic ), Quick time ; running on WinXP home whats the best way to keep all the 3 players operational without any usurping default status and associating with my music files pls?? another problem is the key board shortcut keys (special keys) favoured WinMedia Player and not Spider (which is what i usually use to prevent RAM being overused .... any other good plugins (freeware ) for Win Media player?? that you might want to suggest..??
  18. use Recuva and recover all those pic files you wanna delete permanently in a new folder, then run Eraser on those files... Now turn off your "Empty Temp files" feature in IE7 tools\programs... keep this feature checked in CCleaner and check for any repition of the earlier mentioned problem..

Hi could someone pls help fix this problem, got a sony ericsson T-630 which used to talk well with my notebook via the inbuilt infrared, checked winxp, hardware, device manager, the driver set seems to be fine, the device enabled and checked the phone too ( all good) but the two just don't talk anymore ............! the phone says no device found when I try to send pics via the infrared... could there be a registry problem atall? and how do I fix this pls?? thanks heaps! in anticipation
  21. Ok does anyone have a good news ticker, alerts freeware to suggest?? I use the BBC ticker, got the Fox NEws ticker and News Piper but haven't yet installed them...... just wondering if there's another good customisable news ticker with multi-channel capability and RSS feeds...
  22. What about the ZoneMap entry under internet settings in Local machine\Microsoft\windows registry, mine had heaps of entries, just wondering if those were created by Spybot ?? (as restricted sites?? atall ?) Is it safe to remove those entries or the entire 'domain' key
  23. any photo print freeware or jus a desktop, transparent , PIM calender , organiser besides being .NET independent and not much of a memory cruncher pls........... been looking for the perfect freeware for a while now..
  24. whats a good freeware Photo calender software, with maximum amount of features and yet not too much of a memory cruncher..... and most importantly it shouldn't be a .NET framework dependant ( one that just does its job in winxp environment )
