Welcome to Piriform TC. I don't know whats so special about U3 flash drives I've never heard of them. You can use the normal CC of a flash drive providing you use the ini setting because that will have the settings that you like to use. Just copy the CC folder to your flash drive.

Welcome to Piriform Vince. Well you lucky in all the time I've used CC its never deleted the Office recent files for me. This question as been asked before a few times, do a search or answers.

Well that just shows how crap VB.Net is. I've never used Notepad++ so I can't comment on that one.

Which browser are you using zcaveman, IE, FireFox, Opera or something else? I use IE6.0 SP1 and CC doesn't re-arrange my favorites alphabetically.

I wasn't aware of that Scott. I have 2GB of ram on my WinXp at work. I shall have to see if it works.

Welcome to Piriform fmwyso. Well the first versions 1.0 were made with Visual Basic. Version 2.0 on are made with C++. I think you'll find that MrG writes these programmes. I've PM'ed him over a question about how he finds certain info but he never replies, maybe you could have better luck. If you're a programmer what languages are you used to? I use VB6 (read my sig). In VB there are no special API calls to produce the Forms.

Wellcome to Piriform Scott. I've used that for many years with Sndrec32.exe and you don't have to tell it which files to play either. Thats what I use you play wave files because they aren't normally that big. if you use WMP to play them by the time its opened up and play the file it a waste of time. You can do exactly the same to mid files rather that WMP I use the default Mplayer.exe. There is also Mplayer2.exe in the WMP folder.

Welcome to Piriform Bill. It doesn't work that that Bill. Just because Recuva found files that were deleted you don't just recover them and stick them back in the folder they came from. Virtually every file on your hard drive is registered some where in the regsitry. If you don't register then correctly and I don't just mean with Regsvr32.exe then they may not work correctly. You would be better of doing a system restore that will remove files that have been added since the restore point and it will change the settings in the registry.

Welcome to Piriform smurf. As Keith has pointed out CC will run on all Windows systems apart from Win95. I've been using it on Win98SE for the past two and a half years with any problems. And Recuva for about two years. I know it says all Windows version on FileHippo but thats not quite true. The lastest version will run on Win98SE without any problems.

Well my email has started working again today. I'm not sure if it was just a glitch or what. I'm not blaming CC as I've said. We will have to see what happens tomorrow. Now I didn't get a reminder that Kenny had answered this email but thats just this forum not OE.

Well Mike you can add folder with Options\Included and find you folder name. That will show *.* files in that folder. Select the folder and click Edit and change the *.* to *.obj. Then you add the same folder again but change the extension to *.bin. That should delete all those files in that folder. Now I've never need to use this option but you could just copy some *.obj and *.bin files into there and doo a clean to see if it works.

Welcome to Piriform guys. I've never had this problem thats because I use a decent operating system. You could try updating you C++ runtime files. Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package There are some more updates at the bottom of this page.

Welcome to Piriform Sylvia. I've had a similar problem for the last 3 or 4 days. I'm not saying its related or CC has caused the problem but I can't access my emails with IE6.0 SP1 and Outlook Express 6.0. You click on Send/Receive and it just sits there doing nothing. IE works without any problem. I did a system restore a couple of days ago then it worked. Yesterday it stopped working again.

Welcome to Piriform Toocan. CC's uninstall is exactly the same as Windows Add/Remove. What hidden feature are you talking about? You aren't talking about Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) are you? With Windows Add/Remove WinXP there is an additional checkbox at the top which will show Windows updates. The only way I could remove this was a system restore.

Well its worked correctly on every version I've tried so I'm afraid I can't make any suggestions to you. P.S. Bye the way I didn't know there were any service packs for WinME. Even IE6.0 only has an SP1.

Welcome to Piriform dejevu. Well I've used CC on my Win98SE for the past two and half years and its works correctly everytime. I know it sounds stupid but you do have the Cookies option ticked? Click on Options\Cookies and see whats listed in Cookies to Delete listbox. Then go back and do a clean, after the clean go back to Options\Cookies and see if the Cookies to Delete are still showing. If you don't store regular cookies in the Cookies to Keep listbox then you can look in your Windows\Cookies folder to see if anything has been deleted.

Thanks for the link Hazel. Doing a search on there for uninstall on there most users have this problem with v6.5 and what they are told to do is just delete the Quark folder. Jaums hasn't said which version he's using.

Well I don't know whats changed. As I've said I've been using CC for the past two and a half years which out any problems with any version. I had slight snags with Recuva.

Thanks for your input Andavari. Yes I know you can drag them into your browser Andavari that isn't the problem. I can make my own movie player. I just need to download these movie's. I can also make my own file downloader. I know you can check the source of a web page but that doesn't tell me the exact location of the swf file to download.

XP and Quark you may as well format the drive and do a fresh install if you want to delete then both.

Thanks Kenny but the View Files in Temporary Internet Files folder isn't much use. With Flash Saving Plugin you can select which folder you want to download too. swf files don't have to be big the last one I downloaded was only 17Kb.

Welcome to Piriform Jaums. CC uses the same Add/Remove as Windows, so its not listed in Windows then it won't be in CC either. I installed RegCleaner 4.3.0.780 last Friday. I had a quick play around with it then I decided to uninstall it. Its not listed in Add/Remove nor CC so I looked in the installed folder and there was an uninstall.exe. I clicked on that and it disappeared. Check the Quark default folder for such a file. By the way gays/gals RegCleaner 4.3.0.780 will work with all versions of Windows. I've been using and still use RegClean.exe made by Microsoft but its not suitable for Win2k/XP/Vista. RegCleaner 4.3.0.780

Thanks Dennis but I only use IE. I've tried FireFox and Opera but I don't find any advantage in them. A swf file isn't a video file exactly like a flv, avi, wmv etc. We know its a flash movie but without download a special flash movie player (which I can make any way) I don't think its must use.

As some of you may know I make Visual Basic programs. Now 3 years ago I need to download a swf file of a site because it had an animated flash movie showing how a battery is charged. Friend on another forum made a link for me which I could just right-click and Save Target As, ahis worked a treat. If anyone has any suggestions PM me and I will give you the username and password. I downloaded Flash Saving Plugin 1.2 but I can't get it to work. As anyone else tried this app? Thanks
