  1. Same here. Well, I haven't really encountered this so I can't help much. Did you try re installing by downloading the latest CORRECT version for your Windows?
  2. I already had Chrome so it didn't ask me anything!
  3. It derives the list from existing and recently acquired cookies in the computer.
  4. CCleaner is a free software, you don't have to make a payment whatsoever. Here is the link: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner
  5. No, there are many people who are technologically challenged CCleaner trusting users who would run every new tool it has to offer without knowing its implications. Remember the time when WFS was introduced for the first time and people started asking how to delete that extra huge file that has been created because of CCleaner and how they aren't being able to remove it?
  6. The Reg Cleaner in CCleaner is designed to be as safe as it could be (Hence, finds less) but things can still go wrong, hence use ERUNT Registry Backup.
  7. Hello. Honestly, don't use the Registry Cleaner unless you are absolutely sure about what you are doing. Second, about the right settings, that depend on what you need. Mostly, the default options work for most users. There is a link on my Signature (Documentations) from where you can read about the various settings in CCleaner and what it does. Write back if you need anything at all.
  8. I didn't spot it till Aethec pointed it out either
  9. I knew this was coming sooner or later...
  10. I say this because there is a bug which doesn't uninstall the previous version properly. The CCleaner64 is installed in the (x86) folder. Hence the "Just in case"
  11. Thank you for pointing this out. Also, the FAQ has to be updated to include WFS details, the new Drive Wiper, etc. EDIT: Just to make it clear, CC2 still supports Win98.
  12. Just in case, uninstall and re install CCleaner. Next, Firefox.exe is sometimes still there even when its physically closed. Check your Task Manager and try again. By the way, Welcome to the Forums
  13. This should be fixed. I just read this and realized that it had installed in the (x86) folder. O.o
  14. Doesn't really make a difference IMO. Given CC's usage, 'minimize' is almost as good as 'close'. But then, I might be wrong.
  15. All CCleaner downloads are manual anyway! You should allow your Firewall to let CCleaner install, no? And yeah, CCleaner 3 should have had "Remember last time's settings" feature by now.
  16. Crap Cleaner + Disk Killer. Woohoo.
  17. Lol, I guess the older users like it more than the recent ones.
  18. A Desktop? I'd really want one but mother already uses the iMac which I hate, and I need a Laptop for school.
  19. Hey login123, this article was just written on one of my favourite technology news sites. Thought you might be interested! http://www.neowin.net/news/techspots-laptop-buying-guide-q42010
  20. If I understand properly, they will be replacing BIOS with UEFI soon (2011)
  21. Even though it sounds good to me, I don't think its a feature that will fit CCleaner.
