  1. It is being restored now via backups.
  2. Everyone has already said what I couldn't have, in words. Good luck Gail and we will always remember you pal.
  3. Read about it yesterday and it had me panic till I checked my Gmail. Would have lost all my school notes and I'd have to tell my teacher. "The cloud ate my homework!" Guys, use Thunderbird or Outlook to backup everything locally!
  4. There really are "Spam" and "advertisement" sections in some forums I have bumped into in the past.
  5. The regular build is Version 3.04.1389 (2,962 kb) - http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download It's not like it installs Chrome automatically. It ASKS you. How difficult is it to un-check the option? Also, if you have Chrome (I guess, many people do) its just as good as the Slim build. The file size is < 3 Mb and I don't see any problem in downloading the regular build instead. Just my opinion.
  6. I experimented and this is how you run CCleaner at start up. Add a CCleaner shortcut to your start up folder then right click on the shortcut. Target should be something like: "C:\Program Files\CCleaner\CCleaner.exe" /AUTO
  7. 1) The feature has been suggested a lot of times before and it looks like it won't be implemented for good reasons maybe. 2) I'm sure its possible using Run commands etc. 3) Some people (many, in fact) like having both around and this might cause unwanted data loss. 4) It's not up to CCleaner to decide what's needed and what's not. You can do this manually, look it up on the web. 5) Sorry, I didn't get you on that one mate. Welcome to the forums, Roman.

    CCleaner

Away from the topic, why do you want to wipe free space? Unless you are planning on selling your hard disk. Wiping Free Spaces will not help you get more free space than you already have. I have never used WFS so maybe someone experienced can help you with that.

Here is a count down if you want. http://canweshipyet.com/
  10. Keep up the good work guys! A lot of new softwares added!
  11. Start Menu > Run > type cmd In the new window that will pop up, type sfc /scannow This will search for missing system files and fix them if necessary. the Revo Uninstaller I mentioned in my previous post will probably help you in removing 'unwanted' files.
  12. Such a feature already exists as you can see in the picture I attached. If you right click on the Cookies to Keep pane... Also, if you go to CCleaner > Options > Advanced > "Save all settings to INI file" you can get all the other settings too.
  13. I have experienced this as well while using Defraggler but I won't say anything else as I am not familiar with how this program works.
  14. If you have something NEW to say as a REPLY, please REPLY and don't edit your older posts Cause I have to keep seeing your older post to see what you have said! Maybe someone else can help you better because it seems that you have a lot of problems which I cannot solve with my level of expertise. I still recommend a clean install but others will have a better opinion I think.
  15. Haven't used Reimage so cannot comment on that.
  16. It is not impossible but recommended that you do so. Download the Revo Uninstaller Free Version from here: http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html and try uninstalling it using that. Run the "SFC /SCANNOW" command in the Command Prompt and check for missing system files.
  17. Better, here is a video from CNET http://download.cnet.com/8301-20_4-10476657-10084490.html
  18. Speaking as an average user, I'd say your computer looks quite messed up. Do you have a backup of all your programs? If yes, you might as well do a clean install but if you get things working then that's good. Deleting Entry wouldn't essentially uninstall it.
  19. Okay, wow. How is going after the Restore? Also, try using the EDIT button so as to reduce the number of posts as what you just did was "spam". I know you are in a real tight fix at the moment and what's going on with your computer is really frustrating so I'm gonna cut you some slack. Best of luck mate. Never use ANY Registry Cleaner unless you know what you are doing! If you can take a backup of all your data, do that and install a fresh copy if all else fails.
  20. Assuming you haven't selected any option in the "Cleaner" section which has been unchecked by default I think I'd blame it on the Registry Cleaner. Long answer short, I'd recommend you don't use the Registry Cleaner unless you are certain about what you are fixing and even if you are, always make a backup. http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=25513 <- here is a FAQ about the Registry Cleaner in case you are curious about what MAY have gone wrong.
  21. The fact that you have run MBAM and Avast and picked up nothing should mean that your PC ] is clean typically. Although, if you think something is out of place or your computer isn't acting the way it should you might as well go through the process cause its better to be safe than sorry, eh?
