I installed CCleaner today, and tried to wipe the free space on my C hard drive using the 3 pass method. The wipe process works until it gets to about 33 to 35 % complete, which takes about 30 minutes, and then it stops wiping and the " Drive Wiper" starting screen again appears. I tried the process 3 times, but it never completes the job. I don't get any error messages . I have Windows Vista . The other functions of CCleaner , such as deleting Temporary Internet Files, Thumbnails, etc. seem to work ok. What's wrong ?
