LittleBoyBlue
I see the new face of CCleaner has gone back to Exaggerating the trackers again. I CClean before I turn off my PC and then again when I turn it on and it read 64 trackers cleaned. Never got that reading with the old interface 3 days ago so what's wrong????? Give me back the old no messing about interface PLEASE
Moderators nukecad Posted March 4, 2020 Moderators Share Posted March 4, 2020 They are simply cookies. (technically 'Tracking cookies' but CC does overegg it a bit). See this: *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'? Worried about why some files come back after cleaning? Moderators Andavari Posted March 4, 2020 Moderators Share Posted March 4, 2020 You can use the "old-school" way by doing this: 1. Open CCleaner. 2. Click Options. 3. Click Settings. 4. Enable/Tick: Custom Clean Now when you open CCleaner it will default to Custom Clean instead.

(Cfg)HealthCheck Set the value to 0 and Easy Clean will come back in place of Health Check. The usual warning - Modifying the registry could make your computer unusable, if you are not sure what you are doing then don't touch it. *** Out of Beer Error ->->-> Recovering Memory *** Worried about 'Tracking Files'? Zoot
Thank you for this. The new interface replacing easy clean reports that it is "unable to reach server" under the security tab. Totally unsettling. I applied the registry change and the annoying message is gone. There is nothing about this error on the forums or anything!

There are plenty of people reporting the same 'unable to reach server' error. We, moderators have flagged this for the developers; we hope to hear from them soon ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
