tommyk
Websense has been loaded onto my network at my place of employment and is blocking a lot of sites I regularly go to . . . some for my job and others not. Is there a software that can bypass Websense and not get caught at work? Thanks
Moderators Andavari Posted August 15, 2011 Moderators Share Posted August 15, 2011 I don't know of any. But why risk going against the company rules and possibly getting caught and fired?
tommyk
That's why I was asking . . . I certainly don't want to go against company rules, but thought there may be something out there that would do it "secretly" Thanks
redhawk
If you need access to certain web sites but keep getting blocked then you should contact your IT department. Trying to bypass restrictions imposed by your company (even for good reason) might get you into trouble. If you needed access to internet for something personal then use your internet phone instead. Winapp2.ini
You could try a proxy server, though websense probably blocks a lot of them. A notable one is https://www.vtunnel.com because it uses https:// instead of http:// winapp2.ini additions thread winapp2.ini github
login123
Tommyk, if you do bypass websense, your IT section will almost certainly know it. It's a tight job market out there. Just saying. The CCleaner SLIM version is always released a bit after any new version; when it is it will be HERE :-) Pssssst: ... It isn't really a cloud. Its a bunch of big, giant servers. They must do web crawling and found their name mentioned here. Alan_B
Websense were one of the people I noticed on the forum this morning. They must do web crawling and found their name mentioned here. Responding to their name would be reactive. Perhaps they go further and are proactive. They may have detected the name of Vtunnel.com as one of their enemies, and someone who recommends their enemy is also their enemy and is now on a hit-list ! ! !
