shankle
1st let me thank you for Ccleaner and Degraggler. Both excellent products. Without them I would have to do things the hard way. This is a question which this is the only place I can see to put it. I have found that the Registry cleaner in Ccleaner works fine for me. What about other products like Regseeker. Sometimes two programs doing the same function find things the other program doesn't. Comments please.

Discussing how other reg cleaners work and measure up is something we don't really do here shankle, it is an area for support issue and suggestions for ccleaner only. As you know the reg cleaner part of ccleaner is not as aggressive as others out there, preferring to err on the side of safety. shankle
More research shows that Regseeker might be risky. Will stick with CCleaner Registry Cleaner. Super Fast
Long story short, CCleaner reg cleaner is less agressive. Other registry cleaners find more, but may also (possibly) damage your system. CCleaner reg cleaner is meant to be lite, & safe. Peace!

Less aggressive in what way and how many programs have you compared CCleaner with?? CCleaner maybe useful in certain aspects but it's far from being 100% perfect. Richard S. shankle
I have Never have a problem caused by Ccleaner and have been using it for years. I have no complaints with its action on the registry. Of course I have an excellent virus program and regularly backup my system. The virus program enables me to have a two way firewall which IMHO stops a lot of the crap. I also have a router which stops more crap. Windows defender and Windows firewall are turned off. All this plus regular maintenance solves a lot of problems. Alan_B
Less aggressive in what way and how many programs have you compared CCleaner with?? It should be self-evident that CCleaner is less aggressive. It prunes out fewer redundant items. Give Away Of The Day promote licensed software that is given away free for one day. A fairly expensive System Cleaner was on offer which I considered far to dangerous, but just for the laughs I imaged my system and then installed and let it rip. I was horrified (but not surprised) by all the files and registry keys it removed. After that Windows still worked, but I never tried to see if it could shutdown and reboot. It worked well enough that I could restore from my image backup under Windows without needing the Boot CD. The next day I returned to see user feedback. Some people liked it. Some people were pleading for advice on how to boot up their dead computers. 'Nuff said.
Super Fast
Less aggressive in what way and how many programs have you compared CCleaner with?? CCleaner maybe useful in certain aspects but it's far from being 100% perfect. Richard S. Less aggressive, as in, not finding as much to remove. What have I compared it with? Here is a short list of some of the ones I tried: - Abexo Registry Cleaner - Registry Clean Expert - Reg Seeker etc, etc, etc...
