When was the last time the words "Windows" and "Me" were together?

I mean if I load slow site A in one tab and also load faster site B in another tab right away, site B's "stream" will help slow site A to load faster, or help carry some of slow site A's info to my browser faster. (No, it's not pr0n. )
I know what you're talking about. With Opera I have hosts. With FF I have NoScript. I'm wondering.....I also have AdBlock on FF. Maybe I should disable it because it might be conflicting with NoScript.
But anyway, one regular site in particular takes a long time regardless. It's fairly popular so it can get bogged down that way. But sometimes it can take up to a minute and beyond and I know they have the servers to handle traffic.
Anyway, I was still wondering if anyone else tries what I mentioned. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Peanut butter and butter sandwiches are more common in Britain than in the US. Here in the US people put jelly (or jam) with their peanut butter. I do like peanut butter and butter sandwiches, by the way. I got addicted to them in Cuckfield England in 1980.
Toasted peanut butter sandwiches taste so much better than the plain bread ones.
I personally like crunchy (nutty) peanut butter.
Always turn off your cell phone when you are about to eat a peanut butter sandwich.

Do you ever try to load a slow website faster by piggybacking it along with another loading website? I've been trying that lately. It seems that sites that have at least one ad service or Google service or whatever in common, help to piggyback other slower similar sites onto the browser screen.

I wonder how much flack they get for having the acronym "LOL".

Azada's not free, they have a 60 minute demo for free.
If you're new to sites like Big Fish Games, Reflexive Arcade or Play First, you can play 60 minute demos till your head falls off. Try downloading all 4 demos of the Ricochet series. That's 4 hours of headbanging fun right there.

Shockwave and Flash elements you can leave alone. A lot of websites etc. need them to show media.
Adobe Reader you can toss. It's a memory hog. Foxit is better.

I could see FF bumping off the top, but wha? I know the new CCleaner is out, but that still doesn't explain it. What am I missing here?
-
CCleaner has been either #1 or #2 in the 'popular downloads' category for what, 50 billion years now? Wha happen?

I think he meant what kind of games. Shooter games, word puzzle games, time management/strategy games, point & click games, etc. ?

Yeah, I thought it looked a little too Jackie Chan.

"Daddy you're boring me!!"

I asked you once if you were a blond female with big hooters and you denied it. You lied right
Yeah that's so me.
I have occasionally seen links to authors' sites at the add-on pages. And sometimes when add-ons update the authors' page will load front & center when you restart FF. So I know they exist, I just never followed up on them. I just took FF's word as 'final authority', with FF2 and earlier that was pretty much the case.
I really do think, though, that the authors of TMP, AIOS, and IE Tab got fed up with the fanboy aspect the whole add-ons site has generated and promoted, and just update their work for admirers of their work.
You know what? I got these now...
AdBlock Plus (& filterset)
All In One Sidebar
Download Statusbar
IE Tab
NoScript
Tab Mix Plus
Those are the big 6 for me. Basically I got my old 2.0.0.14 back.
Toolbar Buttons (somehow?) adds functionality to a few small add-ons that still haven't made the grade. (Top Of Page, for example.) Tiny Menu still works. Yep, I got 2.0.0.14 as solid as ever in FF3. Unbelievable.
Oh, but I got a spiffy Vunderbar that does absolutely nothing for me. I knew all these "changes" were gonna be office-orientated. Blechh. Last thing on my mind.

I didn't even know they had sites. Oh well, I'm an idjut.
-
Finally found where you can download FF3 compatible versions of Tab Mix Plus and All In One Sidebar. Not at FF add-ons site....but at C\Net. Go figure. Maybe it's the authors' way of saying screw you to the add-ons site managers. Heh.
Working fine so far.

Number One - "Release him from the Stone of Shame!"
Homer - "Woohoo!"
Number One - "Now put on the Stone of Triumph!"
Homer - "D'oh!"
I used to be very intimate with the show.

Why do I have the status of Advanced Member and Dennis only has Member yet he joined 4 days before me and has many more posts than I do? Am I a Stonecutter?

Notice when you do that ALL your icons get big, which kinda sucks. I leave mine small.
The only difference in Vista is the back/forward buttons are blue instead of green.
-
If you select to use small icons the Back button becomes the same size and format as the Forward button.

Hazelnut, you seem to know more about the innards of computers than the blokes around here.

I liked Thunderbird when I used it. It was very good for me. Situations changed so now I use online emails.
-
And where does the whole 'doting fanboy' fit into all of this?

FF3 is banished to the land of wind and ghosts.

Despite what it says on the front page, it's compatible between FF 2.0.0.14 and FF 3.0 final. Worked for me, and so much quicker than a manual install. Beware, it won't transfer your FF2 addons (extensions) to FF3 so don't even bother to back them up. (It'll warn you if you try anyway.)
If you get MozBackUp, it's a keeper so hang onto it.
AVG AV 8.0 very annoying.

I just use Avast, no biggie. The usual posters here at CC have a knack for keeping their PCs clean & out of trouble. We know the basics of everything, where to go, what to download. Percentage-wise we should have some of the most safe, secure PCs out there. Who cares if it's AVG, Avast or Antivir. I bet with just the extensive anti-malware, anti-rootkits programs etc. in our PCs we'd be the last to get hit by a bad virus. We all know the etiquette of emails for what, the past 7 years now? We're not dumb. We be smart! (knocks on wood)
